I also had this predicament when I finally got my own place and ended up picking up a 30 gallon husky. Main reason I got it was for the small die grinders (although now Milwaukee made electric ones now) and painting and sand blasting and texture the ceilings and garage. Do I regret getting it. No. But it’s almost not needed now a days with all the cordless stuff as long as you started with the right color. I’m a die hard dewalt guy but lately they have been falling behind and I may be picking up some of the m12 stuff from Milwaukee since they have the cordless die grinder and some other small tools I want but for 20v I’ll always have dewalt since I have so many batteries and my dad and I always share tools since we both have dewalt.

And the cordless make great trail tools. I never hit the trails without a bag full of impacts and drills and bits with some batteries. Next thing to pick up is a cordless grinder and band saw.

Thankfully, the extent of my power tools is a single 20v dewalt drill, so picking a color isn't a limiting factor. I'm really thinking red based on what I have seen from tool reviews and my friends that do shop work for a living.

For new cordless stuff its pick a color and stick with it. Like i said above, dewalt has been falling behind lately and with all the package deals its hard to beat milwalkee.

This is my first. But I had an issue on a job trying to adjust some legs with a set of Husky’s that I found when I bought my house.

Kept slipping on stainless, which is fine. But made me wonder if these would bite. Good enough of an excuse.. I have a tool problem.

Just bought a house. I now have a full stocked toolbox in the garage. I do not own a dining room table. I get it man.

I built my table using a borrowed miter saw and a Kreg Jig I bought with a Lowe’s coupon (change of address packet at USPS), also did baseboard with that saw. It was a DeWalt 10” non sliding miter saw.

I’ve since bought my own.. big boy DWS780 with a stand. I haven’t really used it.

    Go figure.

Funny. I just texted a fellow TW member about whether he has a miter saw...to build a work bench.

    Mine is overkill.

But a good miter saw is great. Sliding is even better. 12” blade for deep cuts, or wide boards.

The 780 is nice because I’ll never outgrow it, and I’m a buy once cry once type.

Folding/rolling stand is a piece of shit though, wouldn’t ever buy it. Mine was free, they’re normally $199.

The other stand without wheels is much better.

    That’s what I’ve seen.

Not sure about stainless but I know they bite hard, and if it still slips then fuck it.

Been on the water all day. I'm kinda in a nautical frame of mind.
