I do. My county not only allows CC, they encourage it.

Yeah I’ve been buying it for years and sadly, for a few reasons, shooting for recreation and proficiency is less and less of an option. There’s a lot of rumors going around. A coworker said a lawyer came and spoke to his shooting club and he said the state is making plans to have dogs at state agricultural check points that can smell ammunition being brought in from out of state. He also said the state WILL get sued over this. The gun advocate groups already have the finances to go after the state. What the idiot legislators in this state don’t realize is they’re encouraging sales of what they’re trying to eliminate. Firearms manufactures must love the Obama administration for what they did for gun sales.

I don't disagree with some of what you're saying, but this thread has been pretty good so far and it's about to get locked quickly if we keep sliding down that politics slide.

True. I understand and respect your perspective. I’m a passionate person and it’s easy for me to get off topic with there types of threads. I’m out...

Hell yeah dude I hear you. It's toooo easy to hop into the bullshit we see around us each day. It's like that forbidden apple on this site... you know you can't bite into it and survive, but the temptation is next level.

lol, im not disagreeing with you. I can go get my CCW anytime I want, and I carry a blade on me at all times too and have the same mindset you speak of - I don't put myself in shitty situations with shitty people.

I'm simply saying from my experience with our horrendous court systems (for something I didn't even do), I have a second outlook on things and extra cautious - including the type of women I date now.

As a gun owning white male in CA, the target is a big red one on my back that makes for a great 5oclock news story if the law and I intersect... the system here HOPES you fuck up to make an example of you for their own agenda.

Pretty much sums up the attitude on both sides. In 60 years I've never once felt threatened enough to consider taking a life. Been pissed off way too many times to think it couldn't happen if I carried. Not sure why people think where they live is so great if they feel the need. Ca has strict laws because there are so many people piled on top of each other, it's always going to be more stressful and having a bunch of gun toting stressed out people in close proximity is a bad idea. You want fewer deaths, make fewer babies. You want fewer gun laws, make fewer babies. You want better fishing, make fewer babies. You want less regulation, raise fewer greedy assholes.

Most people don't realize there are not really red and blue states. 80% of the country is red. It's an urban/rural divide mostly.

Most people spend too much time worrying about how someone else is different. The strength of this nation has always been those differences and the freedom to be so. No nation, state, county, town, or even neighborhood is completely uniform in thought or expression. Red or Blue we are still all americans and color doesn't define us. There are ideas that have value regardless of the source but our party afiliations override our sworn oath to the flag and country we all swore every day in class as children. Not once was political party ever part of that oath. John Adams warned us of this.

Even here in Democratland Mexifornia I got a golden ticket to obtain a constitutional right. I carry standard capacity magazines thanks to federal judge Saint Robert Benitez in his name we pray , but I also carry a razor sharp Zero Tolerance folder. This edge weapon is not used for anything else other than to stop a threat. I have another folder for general use.

I know where you are coming from.

Too many laws that can get you wrapped up in the system that require little to no proof.
