Wasn't as bad as I anticipated! Biggest issue for me was getting the front camera cable into the cab. If you push a screw driver thru from the engine compartment, place something in front of the wiring on the inside where you'll be poking thru. I was lucky I didn't damage any of the wiring after seeing where the screwdriver came through! :annoyed:

Also, I bought one of the aftermarket switch mounts for the left side where the useless small bin is located. Which required me to lengthen the green wire over to the switch. The other two wires were plenty long enough!

Good luck and just follow the instructions.:hattip:

winch maintenance: unspooled all of the synthetic line, washed in bucket with a bit of mild soap. took apart my factor 55 fairlead and flatlink shackle. cleaned, installed their rope guard, sanded and dremeled the significant rust off of the metal liner ring at the end of the winch line and repainted it with PO-15 (the best rust rust inhibiting paint money can but).

don't forget to give your synthetic winch lines some love once in a while. as a former climber, I can tell you washing the dirt and grit out of ropes will make them last twice as long.

I know the feeling! Just when I think "I'm good on the mods for now" someone posts something new and I'm like " I'm gonna be in so much trouble!":rofl:

Thanks man & no paint at all. Just used the Vinyl Decals. You can find them on eBay. Would provide a link but my work computer forbids access.
Just type in Tacoma off-road wheel decals and they should come up

I think it would look really clean with them continuing up onto the shell. IMO it would look a lot more fluid as there wouldn't be a break in the decal.

For the TRD skid plate (PTR60-35190), you may consider BAM Wholesale Parts, $324.19 shipped (to VA at least, with “SAVE5” promo code). It’ll be where I get mine when I’m ready to buy. I bought my TRD Pro wheels from them and they were great to work with. Even watched the FedEx guy drop one of my rims in my driveway and BAM replaced it no questions asked.

That is what has me going for the all the way up look. That break in the decal bothers me. I just wonder what that would look like when I finish the build. Top rack , rear bumper , sliders etcccc... would it be too much ??
