    Hey all!

My impulsiveness got the best of me and I recently picked up a 2019 TRD Sport. I bought a used 1995 S10 back in 2015 and it made me fall in love with small pickups. A few months back, I decided to let it go on account of the frame being so rusty the mechanic wouldn't put it up on the lift to repair even minor things. I'd have taken care of it on my own if I had the time, which I don't even remotely have. But it was a hard working and reliable truck that will be missed dearly.

I've been admiring Tacos for a while now and am really excited to finally have one. I love the aggressive look/feel of the truck and look forward to that Toyota reliability and service. Love all the modern features that I didn't have in my beloved S10.

The one thing I regret about my purchasing decision is going with the crew cab/short bed instead of the access cab/long bed. One thing I dislike is the infotainment system with no android interface and the tiny knob/close touch screen that results in me touching the screen when I turn a knob. The steering wheel controls seem to alleviate that a bit, but it's still silly.

In terms of modifications I'm considering.. I'm wondering if the black fender flares would look better than the stock ones that match the body paint. More aggressive looking tires and wheels would be nice. I'm very interested in camping and road trips. So bed and roof racks are probably in my future. As well as a rack mounted tent. I am especially interested in the pullout kitchen that @Arlaghan put together. Probably going to get a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier.

I really look forward to being part of this obviously robust community!

Beautiful truck. OEM Bed mat is one the most useful first investment you can do. I only just bought mine after 2 years. Should have gotten it from the start.

Give it a week. You'll wonder why you didn't buy one sooner and you will forget about the Chevy. Trust me, I know. I have been a Ford man for 25 years and I switched to Toyo Taco. I have only had mine for a week and I am falling more and more in love with it everyday.

I actually didn't want it initially. I prefer the convenience of being able to put things in from the side. But they wouldn't take it off and instead just took the cost off the price for me. It's growing on me a bit.

You are gonna love the bed Tonneau cover btw. That is a good looking color too on the truck. I like my silver but if I had my rathers then it would be that color.

I think your referring to your tonnue cover. Those come in handy!!! I was talking about the oem bed mat that keeps stuff from sliding in your bed

The OEM tonnue cover will grow on you. A lot people wish they had the OEM one you have. As they are elusive to get. They don’t sell them separate at the parts store they have to be bought with the truck as a package as far as I understand. Good thing you ended up keeping it!!! You have something that will sell for $$$ within minutes if you ever decided to sell it. That being said If I were you I would never sell it! If it ever bothers you just store it and use it if you ever need it like for road trips. OEM tonnue cover is king...and yes people will say there are better aftermarket ones out there. BUT OEM tonnue cover is a unicorn.
