    Hello TW and fellow Ohioans.

I am currently looking for a reputable shop who takes great pride in their work and can also perform my 30K mile maintenance. Toyota or Tacoma specialty preferred.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get my go-to-stealership (and place I bought the truck from) to return any of my calls when all I want is an out the door price of what my maintenance guide describes for a 4.0L non-synthetic. (xFer case, front/rear diff, oil, rotate tires, etc..)

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

A few months late but just came across this post. Any luck finding a place? I recently moved to the state and was looking for a place as well. I’m in the Dublin/Plain City area. I’m down to find some knowledgeable and mechanically inclined folks to learn from and turn wrenches with.

Local chap friend of a friend ended up helping me with it. He knows his Tacoma’s.

He is down in Lancaster though.

So I live/d just outside Lancaster (stationed in Japan) and there is a mechanic Named Kerry. Its best to call him to see what his schedule is since he owns/operates the farm and does auto repair on the side. My family has been down there plenty of times for the things we either didn't have time or the specialty tools to fix it up. From the simple to rebuilds, great work and will have fair pricing.

Also the 30k (I did 2 months ago) was around $250 at the dealer in Lancaster. Just make sure you look at the list of the inspection, they tried to charge me for oil change and air filter change, which they didn't do. I let the mechanics know ahead of time but the desk jockies assumed I did.

    Thanks for the info.

I refuse to take my vehicle to Buckeye. Thoroughly disappointed with their customer services and attention to detail.

Since then, I changed to all synthetic fluids and did the changes myself with the exception of some help locally.

They quoted me over 300 dollars which didn’t included everything Toyota recommends. They pick and choose which ‘needs done’ for the truck.

I guess I lucked out then, cause I snuck over to watch some maintenance while I was waiting to ensure they did the major things for the 30k. I was short on time since I was home for 9 days on leave before I flew out to Japan for my PCS. Should I have done it myself? Probably but I was too lazy. lol

Regardless I'm glad I could help.
