Also, this is my passenger side CVJ axle.

Less than 2 years old lol, stay away from neoprene boots my other one is already torn. I don’t even know how they were ever an option haha (the liquid is water from wiping down the UCA)

More little mods/ maintenance done today!

4X HD shackles and new rear bushings in the dakars

After a little drive the rear squeaks less, and judging by my jacked bushings, this was overdue

Glad they are working out man! My squeak was between the leafs, so I ended up just putting in leaf liners to quiet them. I’ll do the bushings in a few years though

    Enjoy!

I see your running 90021s and 886s OP, how is the ride on the road? I have 5100s and 886s now and it seems a little stiff. Curious to see if 90000 or 90021s would make a difference and be worth the money right now.

Going purely off my experience, and what I've read online, you'd probably have a more comfortable ride with the 90021s than the 5100s. I ran the old 90000s and when the lower bushings blew I switched to 90021s and noticed a difference. Not a huge difference, like going to kings or something, but the ride was noticeably more plush than 886s and 90000s.

    Old Shocks - 90000
    New Shocks - 90021

Forgot to mention how I got the bushings from the 4x HD shackle to fit.

I had my friend ream the sleeve out a few thou to allow the stock hardware to clearance.

    49DE3AF7-5C8C-495B-AD47-2709C06CF46B.jpg

I finally got a reply email yesterday from Adam at 4X saying their kits ship with grade 8 hardware.

Oh well, i prefer to use stock hardware for this application anyways. And I have spare wheelers bushings I can insert if I need to.

Went ahead and adjusted my front bumper and repainted it as well.

It somehow moved to the point that the fog lights were hitting the core supports under the headlights!

There are a few washers spacing out the bottom to angle the bumper so it doesn’t hit my fenders, but it wasn’t this angled when I left @Mobtown Offroad

List of stuff to do on truck:
    • Drop all skids and flatten/ paint
    • get a nut welded in where cross member nut broke
    • Modify T Case Skid to be flat
    • Re-Route exhaust
    • ECGS Needle Bearing Bushing Replacement
    • CVJ Axles (went to buy, but their website was down)
    • Get latest purchased parts installed :)
Couldn't get my caster higher than around 2.2 because the tabs were bending (according to tech)

    So I FINALLY bought these:

I’ll keep it short, but we had a boys weekend camping at Bald Eagle State Forest.

Picked up some purple lizard maps from
    My local bike shop beforehand

(My friend on the left is wearing a hilarious outfit, because he sacrificed himself to get some sick shots while off-roading)

    - Will insert photo or video here after post processing. -

We attempted to get to Penn’s View or nearby via backroads, and the further we got, the less traveled the roads were. This was made clear by fender liners being found on the sides of the trail. (Yes I took them with us)

After getting stopped by a gate, we turned around and hopped onto 45 to get to Penn’s View the old fashioned way.
    0DBBAEBF-20CA-4204-A906-4F5A68CE820E.jpg

This ended up being an awesome turn of events, as we accidentally stumbled upon my childhood dream destination: Camp Woodward!
    C958DA58-F505-4C8F-8BFC-5C80B42F268B.jpg

I talked to some folks there, and we ended up getting a tour of their facilities! This included their digital media building, dirt jumps, mini mega ramp, and a ton of indoor skate parks.
    6D57B80B-6575-4536-8775-E8AAA785896C.jpg

With the tour complete and a Woodward patch acquired, we finally made our way to Penn’s View! The roads were windy and dusty, but easy enough for a car. We made dinner and soaked up the views at the top.

With the daylight winding down, we decided to head back to our campsite, which was a good 45 min away. Along the way, we took what we thought was a shortcut, but it ended up being a bit too tight for a truck.
    2BECEF1A-D829-462F-977C-41BF375F0F93.jpg

Turned around, and made our way back to our site. There, I setup my RTT and my ground tent they were borrowing, while they got the fire going.
    573051AD-675C-4C22-B146-3A18F78818B7.jpg

There was a freak thunderstorm that rolled by, but thanks to my little awning and my tent overhang we got to stay dry while waiting it out!

Didn’t really wheel any difficult trail, but we had a great time goofing around and exploring the forest. Earned some pinstripes and I know we will definitely be heading back there soon! Planning on winter camping there too!

Awesome trip report, thanks for taking the time to share that. Don't always need wheeling to have a good time. All it takes is the outdoors and good company.

We weren’t planning on taking that many photos, but I brought my camera and go pro to play around with, and my friend brought his drone so we have some cool stuff to go through still lol. I agree, it’s nice to get out of cell range and away from people!
