I just bought my 2019, and was told that there were great LED kits for not a lot of money, and that the 2016+ kits would not really fit a 2019. Has anyone done this with a 2019 and had success with the final product?

I searched the thread for "2019" and didn't find anything.

    Thanks!

I bought and installed these on my 2019 this week. No issues at all.

I purchased and installed this kit last week in my 2019 DCLB. All of it fit and worked, given some looseness in the center and license plate lights... EXCEPT for the dome light.

I reported the mismatch to Tacoma Beast and received a refund and this statement in response:

"We have been made aware of this issue with the latest batch of 3rd Gen Interior Light Kits. We have removed the item from the store until we can come up with a solution."

So, good for them for immediately issuing me a refund, but now I have one mismatched light.......

Anyone have a dome light LED bulb that fits a 2019?

Did you have any issues with the dome light fitting correctly? Also, did you use any tools to get the Map lights out other than tape? Tried to remove myself in my 16 Taco and no luck.

The kit that I bought came witht he tool to remove everything. It was very easy, with exception of the license plate lights... that was a PITA but with some patience I was able to do it. The dome light fitted correctly, no issues.

For the map light I used tape, just wrapped around it and then pull. Fairly easy.

Easy way to change the map bulbs is to pull the whole panel off and you’ll have easy access to them

Once @MESO gets back, he's going to be dropping some dome and map lights, might be better to wait and replace the whole assembly with his product. I have done the map lights and am very happy having burned my retinas with how bright they are.....

He said he'll be back around the end of the month, and make an attempt to push them early August. Best advice is to sign up to be notified of the particular products you're interested in when they go on sale, his stuff sells out VERY fast.

They do not get hot. LEDs are very cool.

I know! It's to much, you need to have sunglasses on.... I will change them soon.

Reviving this - I am interested in replacing the interior lights in my 2020 TRD Sport. Anyone know of a current kit that will allow me to do this without having to source bulbs individually? I'd love to go with @MESO lighting options, but they are currently out of stock

On my 2020 Limited everything works and fit fine using Fyre Flys 9 Piece White LED Interior Lights for 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma. It uses the 5050 Series which if I understand correctly is twice as bright as stock. The kit is also offered with in a 3014 Series which is supposed to be twice as bright as the 5050 Series. I think either will fit. FWIW the Amazon Fitment tool states it does not fit the my 2020, but it does

Any issues with the kit like blinking, surging or just not turning on? I replaced interior bulbs in my last truck and had those issues. Some days they were fine, other days, issues.

I absolutely love MESO’s interior lights. Stew has it going on at MESO Customs.
