    Hey folks,

I noticed a little spot on my drivers side door near the A pillar that has started to rust (picture below)..is this something to be worried about? I've heard that a little rust spot like that can spread over time. I plan on having my taco for years, so I feel a little concerned. Now I'm going around noticing other little nicks in the paint (second picture)!! Appreciate any advice what you guys think I could do! Thanks!

Looks like a small rock chipped the paint all the way down to bare metal.

There are plenty of threads on here about people fixing those. You can find tons of good info through the search bar at the top of every page. Probably something you do want to address properly though, the more chance you give rust, the more it will eventually spread

Standard rock chip. Nothing unique to Tacoma. Check Youtube for plenty of vids on how you might fix it.

In 2 years? I’d say that’s pretty bad. My 17 Tacoma looks worse than my 13 F150, and 11 frontier did after 3 years and I never applied any rust treatment/undercoating to the F150 or the Frontier, and spent about 3 hours coating my Tacoma as soon as I got it.

Its mostly surface rust too. Not a big deal. Also, Id imagine FL gets its fair share of salt problems from the air, but idk
