Any Auto Glass guys here? (or shop recommendations)

    I'm in the OKC area and trying to find a really good glass installer. Need a windshield replaced.

    I've been scouring reviews of all the local glass shops and am having a hard time gauging how good they are. I think most of the reviews I'm seeing are people who had a window get busted due to theft and they needed a fix ASAP. (so they are speaking more to availability/speed/price rather than if the installer is doing things by the book and not screwing up the paint and trim)

    Find someone that your insurance covers and warranties their work. Beyond that it's all about the same. The specific tech doing the install has a huge impact on the quality of the work.

    Insurance is not a concern. I'm paying out of pocket and willing to pay extra for better quality work.

    Repairs are better than replacements. Beyond that I can't really help with OKC recommendations.

    But you will likely find better service with a local shop than with Safelite or another corporate spot. They are worried more about their insurance customers and will be concerned more with quantity than quality.

    I haven't had any work done by him but I've done a few vintage BMX deals with a guy in Yukon that travels all over doing auto glass. His name is Royce 405-650-5271. Again I haven't had any work done but he's never burned me on a deal.

    Call Todd at Freeman Collision near May and 36th. I'm not sure if they do the glass in-house or not, but whoever he uses or recommends will be top notch. I've had him do some body work on one of my cars, and it was flawless for a fantastic price. I've recommended him to coworkers who have all had great experiences as well.

    He also recommended a window tint place (Star Tint), and they did great work as well.

    For anything related, I always call Freeman first and go from there. His recommendations and work have proven themselves over and over again for me and many others.
