Hi there. I have posted before about installing an aftermarket cruise control in my 2004 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 w/ 3.4L engine and automatic transmission, but I never pulled the trigger because it didn't look to be a very easy install and I was un-certain if I should tackle it. But here I go again.... I have no power windows nor do I have the cruise (i.e. no power package). I really want the cruise. I have heard that some Tacoma's are all pre-wired and only need to have the switch installed onto the steering wheel. Is there an easy way for me to tell if mine is pre-wired (...outside of just buying the switch and throwing it in and seeing if things work?).

I have 172,000 mi on this truck and want to keep it for at least another 100k if it will keep up. I just had the gas tank replaced along with the charcoal canister...and next I need to buy a new front and rear bumper due to rust to pass inspection.....BUT I am desperate for the cruise! Thanks.

No problem. There is another link within that link that has even more detailed instructions. Totally a diy project. I still haven't done it. Always have something else I seem to be doing. lol
