Sorry about the terribly long delay in responding.

We still dig the BP-51's. They've held up great and we've had zero issues with them. We did adjust the preload as recommended by ARB/OME in the instruction manual. I can't recall the exact numbers but we did stagger the heights just a tad (about 7 mm) to accommodate the taco lean. The truck still leans a bit but we are almost due to readjust the fronts as we have added weight recently and are considering a bumper and winch so I'll adjust them soon enough.

    Thanks!

    Few of the reasons...

    1. Compression and rebound adjustment.
    2. Designed to grow with the weight of the truck without buying new springs.
    3. Aluminum body.
    4. 3 year manufacturers warranty.

Do I like them? Yep. Would I do it again? Probably. If I did something different it would probably be the Dakar springs. They squeak like mad. The BP-51's on the other hand have been awesome. If I were to do something else entirely it would be long travel, but that would cost 3x as much.

I've got the same truck looking at the same setup and it's time for tires lol. What would you suggest?

I'm a fan of my K02's, despite some people's hate for them. They've worked well, haven't had an issue balncing them, and they have worked great off-road and in the snow. I've even had a very deep gash in the sidewall that held.

That said my only suggestions are get E-rated tires if you actually plan to go off-road. Also if you have a lift, or plan to get a lift soon, just go straight to 285's at least.

Gotcha you think 285/75/16s without gearing over the 265/75/16?

Yep. That's what I'd do. Even without gearing.

Well heck haha any reason why? It's my daily driver so trying to make sure I don't kill my mpg.

It's the largest you can fit without doing a lift, gearing, or any real crazy mods. It looks better than the 265's I currently have as it fills the wheel wells a bit better. You'll take a mpg hit no matter what, but at that point I think it's a negligible difference from the 265 to the 285.

Roger that thanks man really appreciate all of the quick responses I'm super close to pulling the trigger on it. I have to get tires asap and shocks are about ready to be replaced too. I was looking at doing 265/75/16 but with your advice I'm thinking of the 285/75/16. Your truck is absolutely perfect! One more quick question, how is the on road ride compared to stock?

My truck rides freaking awesome both on and off road. It's definitely a combo of the tires and the BP-51's. The K02's are relatively smooth and quiet on road while the BP-51's are predictable and smooth. Off-road the suspension sucks up a lot of the bumps, but add in airing down and the tires help make the ride so much more comfortable.

The other day I removed my Dakar HD springs....

    Disassembled them, cleaned them....

Then greased all the bushings and added bicycle inner tube rubber to high friction areas...

Then added an extra D29xl leaf to make my 7 leaf Dakar HD pack an 8 leaf extra HD pack.

Then reassembled them with a new grade 8 center pin with an 8mm Allen key head.

Adding the leaf like this is supposedly an approved addition/modification from OME. Hopefully this will help with some of our sag on longer, loaded down trips.

Then today I did a number of things. Installed the new tires and had the alignment done again. Went with Toyo 315/70/17 MT's and immediately had rubbing everywhere. Haha

We also went ahead and removed the spacers.

Then went home and immediately started cutting and banging. Removed the entire fender liner so now my air box is exposed so it looks like I will be getting a dorkel now. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Then installed the S2 Pro side floods, Squadron Pro ditch lights on @ragofabrications brackets, and an RTL-S chase light. All will be wired up tomorrow, but for now it's all show.

    Pics tomorrow. [IMG]

Yesterday I attended the local Rigs and Coffee event. Cool meet for sure and I had a blast. Then went over to @Malcom place and installed a bunch of electrical just need to wire up a few more things and it'll be done. So far the Switch Pro, bus bar, fuse panel are wired. The Switch Pro controller is mounted in the cab. Wiring is run to the new outlet in the bed and it's powering the fridge. Still need to wire up two other light setups, but it's coming along nicely. Thanks again @Malcom!!

Love it man. I've seen you around SD, I have a very similar rig, not quite as dialed in yet.

Normally they are the second and Fourth Tuesdays of the month. We're kind of slowing them down though because of the holiday season. Very likely we'll be doing the one next week though.

Driving home right now after getting the gears installed. Currently on my second heat cycle on the drive home. Truck definitely feels WAY different.
