Water Tight Bed Storage Compartments

    The storage compartments were a great idea...with the exception that they collect water - greatly reducing usefulness. When washing the truck, water pools in the compartments (yep, the stock tonneau cover allows water in the bed which we all know) and when it's raining, splash-up from the rear wheels allow the water to pool in the compartments as well.

    Has anyone developed a way to completely seal the compartments from moisture, beyond taping up the holes, so that they are actually usable for important items such as ratcheting tie-downs, etc.?

    If you seal up the bottom, you'll still need to seal up the door.

    It's a lot less work (and expense) to just put your straps in a zip-lock bag.
