Can't go wrong with witch Hunter. Just don't call them too much haha, they do not like the customer facing portion of service work but damn are they good at what they do.

Yeah, I haven't had a need to call since they do warn about lead times on the main page of the site. I've got confidence in their work from the reviews I have read over the years. I'm not in a rush but I am hoping to have the injectors back sometime next week. I'm starting to forget where all the bolts go to put the intake back on! o_O

That was a  moment for sure when that happened.

I was actually out looking a bit yesterday to see who carries JIS screw drivers locally. McLendon - Nope. Might go by Napa today. Looking for something like this:

I looked around locally for JIS drivers when I was removing my oh shit handles (b/c on 98-00, they aren't hex bots) and couldn't find any. Interested to see if you discover differently.

The smattering of #2 standard and #2 JIS is annoying. But after taking two Japanese cars apart plus parts of the cruiser I find I rarely actually need the JIS for anything

Yeah, our trucks have many screws throughout them that use JIS-spec cross-head screws. These drivers are worth having in the toolbox.

Pulling the steering and drilled it for a roll pin. No more dead spot in the wheel. Thank God. That was driving me nuts:crazy:

Swapped my valve covers out because of leaky gaskets. I have never done the job before on a Tacoma, what a PITA! I thought that I was prepared, got all my gaskets and seals, wrinkle painted the valve covers. I took a bunch of pictures before starting and during the job so that I would have something to reference if I got lost, ended not using the pictures but did open a can of worms. I am going to have to change some of the small hoses soon but I can get to them without taking off the upper plenum again. With all the work I did taking off all the parts to get to the covers and putting my repainted covers on this is all I have to show for it, all the other stuff is hiding them!20190728_113759.jpg 20190728_113747.jpg

Nice work. Here's a thread on silicone hoses. I just replaced most all of my hoses with new OEM. I didn't know about this hose deal at the time.

Got rid of the old huge Warn solenoid box, and replaced it with a Warn solid state contactor.

Had to pull the wheel back off cause I had it one tooth too far to the right. After I got that settled, I detailed the interior. IMG_20190728_160734781.jpg IMG_20190728_160805252.jpg

Also, I slammed my finger in the door and will be getting a nice blue fingernail from it.

I went to HD, Lowes, ACE, and O'Reilly's. At that point, I decided I might as well just give the #2 Philips a shot. Of course, that meant I had a lot more work in front of me.

I replaced the JIS screws in the oh shit handle with Allen screws, so hopefully (those) won't be a problem again. And, I still don't have a set of JIS drivers. I'd just get this set on amazon if I were to get some...

@Blue92 i am slowly detailing my interior as well (a little at a time) after a multi-hundred mile gravel road dust/dirt kicked up following some 3rd and 2nd gens on a quest to nowhere in the Wisconsin wilderness, I forget that I had the fresh air coming in instead of recirc and the mess compounded  but the bluegray interior i got stuck with shines like the dickens i tell ya, so glossy! and the black parts around the bezel total badass!, near showroom quality lol

hope your finger heals up ok
