Let me know when you get support for real tuning and I'll join you. I'm half tempted to buy a used ECU and see if I can flash it. I hate proprietary shit. lol

Believe me I wish I had that lol, I have the URD 7th but it's pretty outdated and customizing it isn't easy with today's software since you have to source old versions of Windows and shit.

Supposedly OVTune cracked the 03-04 1st gen ECUs but said the earlier ones are impossible. But they still haven't released anything for the 03-04s to my knowledge yet, too busy working on 3rd gen turbos I guess.

Pretty much limited to a piggyback setup with these trucks

Interesting. I hadn't heard they cracked the 03-04. If that's true get on the phone with those guys. Getting a used 03 ECU and re-pinning a few harnesses to make it work in your year isn't that big of a deal.

PS: Sorry for the thread drift OP but you sort of started it. lol

I have an 04 so I'd be able to use it if they ever release it. There's a thread somewhere on here that they started to gauge interest in it and they were keeping up with it until the 3rd gen turbo/supercharger thread took off. I think he's a one or two man shop so I'm sure that's where his attention is going but yeah we got a few guys on here bugging him about it.

The advantage of breaking down while towing a trailer is that, at least, you have a place to sleep while waiting for parts....
