Does anyone have a shortcut to remove the upper oil pan on a 4.0 V6?

Accurate statement. Unless you have an engine hoist, then you'll get enough pick to wiggle it free.

Thanks, I need to inspect my rod and main bearings. Had a dude to replace my head gaskets and he did not torque the bolts on the tensioners, they popped out got into my sprockets and ate them up. Got a ton of metal in my engine. I really want to just scrap it and replace the motor but I owe it to myself drop the pan to look at the bearings. It was a total hack job from this guy. I didnt have the time to do it myself and now im really paying for it.

    Sorry to hear that man.
Thats a lot of work to inspect.
Honestly don’t know what I do.
Depending on mileage. I’d maybe drain and refill oil a few times and hope for the best.
But, in your case, you got a lot of money invested in the current engine.
I feel for you. Definitely not a good situation to be in.

    Hopefully the bearing look good.
