I use it and it’s awesome. The front and rear cameras are very useful especially when towing. Also nice that with the add on cable all music stays on while viewing the front camera. Another plus is I have a spare A/V input to connect a media player or phone mirror in the future which is sweet. No cons that I can think of at all, all plug and play. I use it with my switch pro 9100 module.

I use it and it's awesome. The seller is grade A as well. Took time out of his day to personally text me with help on a holiday.

I have a new harness if anyone is interested. Awesome quality and nothing wrong with it. I never installed it and got a deal for a full headunit swap so it’s up for sale

Nothing fancy. Might actually change it up soon so I could hook up a fire stick. But for the time and cost it was a solid unit. I got a 2400Nex off a member here with the install kit and maestroRR hook ups.

Is there a way to access and display the front window camera, is it even a vis light cam. Thatd be sick if it were in IR then I could get predator vision on my taco lol.

But 4 real, any techies out there look if this is possible

Predator vision != IR. Sorry, I'm a nerd. I'm not aware of a small IR camera meant for driving but I suppose one exists. However, unlike EO (visual light) cameras, you need to mess with settings for an IR camera depending on what you're looking at otherwise you can get a crappy picture. Changing settings isn't a one and done thing either (unless the camera has multiple presets that you can swap), meaning you'd have to set it up for the afternoon and then again for the night and so on.

    Hey, Folks.

I'm being a little lazy today. Please forgive me.

I recently acquired a Pro grille and would like to get a camera that fits it somehow. My current front camera is the Gonzo beek one that fits in the badge hole on the Cheese Grater, so it won't work on the Pro grille.

I do have this one saved that might fit in the 'O:'
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078KYXZ6F

The single review is not good and I haven't even measured the ID of the 'O' yet. There were a couple similar reviews for my current camera, and it has worked flawlessly for over an year.

    Thanks!

With the pro grill you might have a hard time making a hole or finding a location for a round cam. I would suggest getting a square type and you just have to make a small diameter hole to insert the cam end, something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071R3HJ6Q

Yes, you need an additional cable made by OP that connects as shown in the diagram below

I too bought the cable mainly to mirror my Iphone but had no luck, i did tried a couple of ways to do it but wasn't able.. The original cable does provide any time rear camera view, and also bypasses the GPS future to be used while driving. The additional cable for a front camera also works fine..

No purpose is a bit of a heavy statement. I only have the original cable and appreciate its functionality every day. Front camera, anytime rear camera, and head unit override. It makes me laugh when I get in my wife's Forester and can do none of this and there is no option for her model year.
