In the process of anti seizing the bed bolts I got a little carried away with the impact wrench, and stripped the middle bed bolt(the threads in the bed) .Anyone ever do this, and how did you fix or do you think its not a problem. The other five bolts are fine and tight.

you can probably re tap the threads if you can find out what the bed bolt thread pitch is,

Ya thats what i figured was seeing if anyone had a easier solution being I don"t think I can get a tap up there due to the way its frame mounts are shaped (can"t turn tap) and I don't want to take bed off.

no you can GOOGLE search the thread pitch but pretty sure its M12x1.25 maybe u can buy a tap and die set, I bought a cheap metric set from AUTOZONE, should be easy to rethread the bunged hole

maybe the bolt threads themselves are bunged up, I think the bolts are self threading even if the hole is slighty bunged you can force the bolt to thread I think that's how they designed them, or I should say they are self tapping type fastners, maybe 2 new bed bolts and force them in till they retap, also I suggest to anti seize all them bolts in case you need to get the bed off down the line

I check into it but they were spinning very freely after I went too far with the impack wrench and the bolt threads look fine.

    Thanks

Just un bolt the bed and slide it back so you can tap it in the open. No need to take the bed off possibly will have to disconnect some wires and the gas filler a bit. No biggie. If not just for get it and send it. Should be fine. Good luck.
