I apologize in advance, as i'm sure these questions have been asked thousands of times, but I couldn't find a sticky that covered every aspect.

I have a 2019 SR5 doublecab longbed. I love everything about it, except for the small look of the tires compared to the rest of the truck. I've searched around the forums, and it seems that 265/75/R16 is about the maximum size you can use without modifying suspension before you start to get rubbing issues.

My wife and I travel about 4 hours to see family a few times per season, and the trip involves a pretty sketchy pass that can get some snow/ice during bad winters. I'd rather pick one set of tires and stick with those year round, mainly because where we live(PDX) we get little to no snow every year.

My other two concerns are road noise and comfort. With how terrible the sound systems are in these trucks, I already have the volume cranked to around 50-55 out of the maximum 63, adding a loud hum from the tires would drive me insane.

After searching multiple tire posts, i'm in love with the BF T/A KO2s. The look and the price. Will these cover my three basic concerns of snow/ice traction, minimal road hum, and keep the ride about as smooth as factory? I understand i'll lose a little fuel efficiency, but I assume its fairly minimal, yeah?

Thanks in advance for any input!

    Welcome to TW

Check out the Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx. They’re a hybrid MT/AT that wear well and aren’t too noisy:

A bunch of us have 255/85/16s and it’s been a great way to get 33s on a stock 3rd Gen suspension (255/80/17 is the same total size but more wheel / less meat on the tires)…..with no trimming / chopping whatsoever.....and the spare tire fits under a short bed without having to move the bracket....double check it’ll work for the SR5 (or ask in that thread?)

If you need a snow capable tire (and don’t want to run a second set of dedicated winter tires) it’s also worth looking at the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S....they’re an all-terrain with great winter capability
