SC w/urd pulley, afe cai, URD LT's, TRD cat back. 375hp. Custom logos, tonneau cover, westin bar with piaa lights, aero force gauges, custom front air dam, Westin step bars.
This came out of my 2010 Tacoma TRD Off Road with 4.0 engine, auto trans and 4wd and has the TRD tune in it for said supercharger. NO issues, it simply would not work in the 2015 Tacoma I put the supercharger on and wouldn't go back into the 2010 with a stock engine and work.

The TRD tune is much preferred over the bully dog or Magnusson tune from what I hear and I believe this ecm is compatible with 2009-2011 Tacomas with similar equipment I have listed, but I would suggest you research it to be sure.

Wish it was for an earlier model. Anyone know off hand what is the difference with 05-08?

I wouldn't mind picking it up if it was the newer one like you had the issue with.

Won’t work for you since you have SAI and this one came from a 2010. This is only good for 05-11.

05-08 had a different throttle maps, but should still work just fine.

I have an 05. When I look up this part number in google, it is for 2010-2011. Can you elaborate what you mean by different throttle maps, and/or where you got this information?

In looking at the URD UCON, I see that there is a different part number for 05-08 vs 09-15. That leads me to believe there is something fundamental that is different with the 08-09 model year change, not just the tune or mapping.

To be clear, I'm not really interested in a UCON as much, but interested to see if this computer that is already flashed will work for me. Any help appreciated.

The throttle map variation came from looking at different CALs with an HP Tuner MPVI2 and adjusting stock throttle position maps. However, I think there may be a pin difference because of the UCON. The UCON is a piggyback and adjusts the software inline, but hardware wise the pin configuration must match up. I would just look at a picture of the pin setup and see if they match up.

The pins are different for 09+ for a while there weren't any options for aftermarket piggy backs on those years due to lack of availability of the plugs.

I don't know if the mapping is really that different since the engines are pretty much the same block but i've never thought about it until now. The plugs alone definitely mean it won't work.
