That's weird. Just do a search for "baxter oil" posted by member "Dacon" and you'll find it.

You can also google "Baxter Performance" and should be able to find the product.

Yeah I am not a fan of the oil filter setup so I'm currently going the Baxter re-route setup. So I'm building my own skids at double 3/16 so there heavy and I don't want to remove every time or make a stupid access port so I saw what Baxter makes and I'm sold. They are pricey though, I wwant to go the inverted spin on route so I had to buy 2 adapters at like $220 a piece, I can't remember the exact price. IMAG1361.jpg IMAG1408.jpg

While at the local dealership picking up an oil filter for my truck & cartridge for my wife's Camry I was griping about the cartridge to the parts guy and he said that Toyota was moving away from the cartridge in the next couple of years. Not sure how accurate this statement is but I'm hopeful he's right.

I use the exact same setup.
I run hoses from both to the drain pan and don’t spill a drop.
    Works great and no mess.

I just did my oil this weekend as I'm over 25k. I could not get the drain part to come off so I had to take off the entire assembly. I couldn't figure out that stupid tab but it sure didn't do anything I could spin the filter right off.

We have an 08 Highlander that has the same exact filter that has no stupid tab. I have been installing it hand tight for over a hundred thousand miles.

What's the deal on that tab? I search YouTube trying to figure out how in the world you take that thing off and couldn't figure it out. It did not prevent the filter from spinning off. Maybe the dealer really didn't do much with it at the last oil change.

While I do like working on my own stuff most of the time, for the most part, I have found that I also enjoy my time and less mess and its usually worth the extra $10-$15 to have someone else change the oil. I drive a lot so its happening several times a year.

Cartridges can be great when they are done right. BMW has been using them with remote housings for a long time, and you can change the filter from the engine bay (with the engine full of oil, if you want) without losing a drop of oil. Using a cartridge on the bottom of the engine is just a train wreck.

meh, the 4 runner has had the cartridge and bottom of the engine location since 2010.
I can change these filters without spilling a drop of oil. Take your time and empty the canister of oil before removing it. And don’t tighten it too much.

Toyota had to relocate the filters on the GR series when the VVTI was added to the exhaust valves taking up top end real estate.

Short. Not sure I have a strong opinion on either.
