Snorkels doing a lot of good there. You'll have clean air going to the motor with that milky oil and water in everything else  and let me know how that fan takes to hitting water when it fills the engine bay and how far you make it hahaha

Yep, IAT is pretty much the only difference I have noticed since the install.

Not unless you stop and sit there for awhile. Water doesn't just rush in unless your windows are down.

No. Positive pressure is coming out of your exhaust keeping the water from going in. If you were to stall and try and restart you might have problems.

    No

I'd have two hydrolocked engines if I didn't have one. I agree they look stupid but it's saved me a couple thousand dollars.

The only electrical issues I've had from flooding my truck are related to the airbag system. I still have not gotten around to figuring it out yet. Bearings are a different story though. Seized both tensioner pulleys and water pump bearing started weeping. First time I submerged it my wheel bearings took a shit shortly after. Drain your trans, tcase and diff fluids if you sit in water up to the door for long.

The stock airboxes are designed so that if a bit of water enters it it sits at the bottom and isn't sucked into the rest of the intake. A small amount of water isn't going to harm your engine, it may actually steam clean your cylinders.

Edit: This may not be the case with the 3.4 but the 2.7 could probably hold a quart of water before it started to touch the filter.

Got the Methods mounted today with Meso TRD caps. Was planning on doing rear suspension first but a great deal popped up on these. Rear suspension is up next

Uhhmm... the internet told me that a snorkel will add 25hp due to "ram air" affect... pretty much like having a $200 supercharger. I mean i haven't dyno'ed it yet...but Causin Joe says he can feel the 25 horse increase in his pants! Joe and the Internet... ALWAYS right!

So today while gong up an incline I hit the gas pretty hard. I got a pretty violent slam that I’m guessing is axel wrap from the extra power with the supercharger. This is even with Deavers. I’m planning on a traction bar to keep that from happening again. Anybody ever have that happen?

I was worried someone would mention the trans. Im pretty sure it downshifted before the slam. And I drove around a little while after and it was shifting just fine. Hopefully nothing broke.

My experience with axle wrap in my last Tacoma (automatic) was that it happened when coming to a stop not when accelerating, but I guess it could go either way

It all happened pretty fast. Going up a on ramp while rolling on the throttle it down shifted to a low gear. I got going way too fast so I let off. Somewhere between the downshift, high RPM S/C whine and letting off the throttle there was a pretty startling slam.

I guess it possible the downshift to high RPM, 80lb 285s, incline, soft springs, and extra power was enough to wrap the springs with a harsh rebound.

I’ve had this happen once before after hammering the throttle then letting off. I believe it was with my stock springs though which wrapped at every stop and go.

The guys at Napa ordered the wrong master cylinder despite me having the one I needed directly in front of them when it was ordered. Waited a week for nothing. Got one on rock auto coming in Friday.

Then I went to my buddy's shop; he suggested I go with a Frontrunner water tank for my water supply. It'll sit well with the mount attached to the bed where it sits in this pic-
