You can get them out if you put in the work. It took me awhile but I would alternate between vacuum and a shake. It’s literally like those little maze games with the ball. One piece was giving me the hardest time but once I figured out the layers inside the lens (some of the internals overlap by the reverse bucket)I was able to shake it to right above the bulb hole with a quick 180 flip and it dropped out

As mentioned above, just heat up your blade. Will take multiple passes but will be cleaner than just melted plastic from an iron. I've done it in the past, especially on airbox mods for dirtbikes.

This just got more expensive … right tail slipped off the tailgate/microfiber but… the ground broke it’s fall :anonymous: took a good chunk off the top left corner, not sure if it broke the seal completely. Either way I’m now in the market for 2018/19 trd sport/or oem tails (takeoffs)

V6 extremes are in and that’s just crazy. Tried taking comparison shots but not sure they came out to fully appreciate.

    Damn! That’s a HUGE difference-brighter!!
I have some 2016 sport take offs. Too much chrome inside though. You probably won’t want them.

    It’s insane.

Yea that’s why I put 18/19 because both the sport/or had the black around the reverse. Thanks though!

He might mean the actual "taco pods" and not the "puddle pods". The original post did ask for information about the first, easy enough to clear up just have @Turbo-Taco17 confirm he meant the item that installs around gauge cluster (Taco Pods).

Writing this to possibly help someone out with the same issue as me. Before putting stage 2 in I had led bulbs in my tails, so I had a resistor on the turn signals. Put stage 2 in without even thinking about what the resistor would do, like an idiot. Right turn worked fine even with the resistor. Left turn would work fine key on engine off, as soon as the truck was running it wouldn’t work at all. I’d get 1 blip and then nothing, wouldn’t even work with 4 ways on. Needless to say I took the resistor out of the circuit and it works fine now, just figured I’d help a fellow idiot out if possible.

Ps right turn still has the resistor inline and works fine. These flasher modules are finicky as hell.

Correct. This is why I do not include resistors in the stage 2, adding them only causes issues. There is a 1% that needs them, but VERY rare.

Someone earlier in this thread suggested using a cheap tourch to heat up a box cutter. Work like a hot knife through butter. Can be a little messy but very effective and no chips or little bits to clean up.

When will the triton bulb adapters be back in stock? Does anyone have any they don’t need? I’m wanting to buy some TRD Pro tail lights and put the stage 2 kit in them, but I’ve already installed it in my current tail lights

I actually got lucky and borrowed a soldering kit from a bud at work, has the knife tip included (mine didn't). Going to try and get these bad boys installed today!

    So. Many. Stickers.
I've snagged a stage 2 wiring harness from a local guy, he's got some other things going with his truck and decided not to do this mod.

Just curious as to what bulbs will work, will I need to swap out or will the factory ones work (obv not as bright) ect.

For those of you needing an idea on how to cut the reverse opening larger without making a mess inside the light, a hot knife does quite a good job and is pretty inexpensive.
