Good tacos are hard to come by around here. Good luck with your search, man.

Picked up a 99 flatbed 5 speed up near Abilene. Just need to go get a transfer case for it next week. It’ll be my work truck and hard wheeling truck. The double cab is my reliable camping trip/daily vehicle that stays nice.

Headed to the Valera Area next weekend from DFW. Should be pulling a trailer.... Let me know if anything up here needs to go that way.
Can meet in Talpa or Valera.

West Texas Off-Road. I personally don’t think anyone else here is qualified to work on Toyota suspension.

They have a solid axle swapped FJ Cruiser sitting out front. A bit more expensive but they’ll also do it right the first time.

I called them the other day. I'm friends with Matt Hodges (who started the company and runs the machine shop now). Spoke with Mike and got some advice about what to get. Just wanted to see if there were any that were recommended over them.

Yeah they're always booked and are pretty expensive. Looks like Tom's Tire Pros does suspension installs now. They are expensive (at least their alignments are) but are also the only shop in town that I can get to align my truck properly. Everyone else just blames my suspension and throws a fit when I ask why my steering wheel is upside down.

Tom's seemed to have knowledgeable staff. I didn't see anything concerning as I watched the guys work through the window. I told the tech that I had larger calipers that barely cleared the wheels and to watch the weights when balancing. Can't comment on their suspension installs but knowledgeable techs is always a good thing in my opinion.

I know the Torqued Up Diesel place seems to be bad news. Just very inconsistent work from everyone I've talked too. Angelo Automotive won't let you bring your own parts for install. They buy them so they can make some more money. Other than that I'm not much help. Most of these opinions are based off my roommate getting work done on his F150 and people I meet at ASU with jacked up diesels.

Hey everyone, I am going to be heading out that way after all of the COVID stuff clears up. Are there any good trails out around there or are most of them a trip to get to? Look forward to meeting up with you guys when I get out there.

You going to Goodfellow? We have a local OHV area but that's about as good as it gets locally, unless you know someone with land.

Yeah I'll be out at Goodfellow. I got a couple friends from the last time I was out there, but no one with land that I know of.

Both times you've offered TW express services I've seen a winch deal in Dallas a week or two later. Not exactly a trailer job though.

Towed the old Willys out to Twin Buttes for a little trail riding. She is a beast in four low!

I’m out of state right now. Seeing so much snow that far south has been insane.

Some pictures at Twin Buttes from the snow last week. Got a bit dangerous once too many vehicles showed up but it was a fun time.

Is there anyone in the area that is recommended to do a CMC and also a Y-pipe relocation?
