Dunno man, my '05 came with both a lighter an a power port - so I haven't had to look too deep into this. These things are typically the same size though.

For $7 though, even if it doesn't fit in the power port socket in the dash, you could mount it in the bed or back of the center console. Just a thought! :D

Worst case scenario, buy the OEM Toyota setup...looks like it's about $33. Or hit up a junkyard and rob it from another Taco, Corolla, Camry, etc.

The hole for the lighter is a different size/shape than the power port hole. I don't remember exactly what's different, but when I swapped my '06 panel over to the '12-'15 panel, I bought another power port. Somewhere I've got a lighter and lighter socket. Not a clue where though.

I swapped a 2014 panel into my 07. It came with the power ports and I hurriedly dumped all the old stuff when I moved. Now I want the lighter back just to have a constant fire source in my truck.
So you’re saying the lighter port won’t fit into the 12-14 dash piece?
Honestly I won’t even pull it out of my dash let alone customize the panel just for that. Not worth it, can just bring matches or lighters

All I remember is that the holes are different. Bigger, smaller, extra notch or something. It might be possible to modify the hole. Don't know.

The power ports aren't heat insulated so they're smaller.

OK, I found my '06 panel. The power port hole is 1.005" with a notch at the top. The lighter hole is 1.095" with a notch at the bottom. So, you could dremel the power port hole out to accept a lighter socket.

I have the complete lighter socket and lighter that looks like it's never lit a cigarette. If you really, really want to go to all the work to remove the panel and dremel it out, I'm your guy.

On closer observation, this may not work. The panel is about .100" thicker around the the lighter socket hole. I'm guessing that putting the lighter socket in the power port location would make the socket move in and out. The only way to solve that would be with a .100" thick washer with a 1.095" hole on the back side.

Yeah, all this to avoid bringing a lighter or a match. I think not.
Appreciate the attention to detail and closing the loop on this. Definitely good to know if someone really wanted to do this.
Maybe if my dash has to come out sometime down the road I would revisit this

Now, the question is, will a Bic lighter fit in the power port?

    A thing or two...
I think it all depends on location and demographic. 1/3 of the people in the group that I work with smoke, and at a previous job the majority of people smoked.
