    Stock with new head gaskets & timingchain
    Any points when reassembling would be great ..put at TDC marked intak & exh cam removed bnk1 phasor ( not to bad) hittin bnk 2 this morning.. and yardin heads off to shop to be chemical test & resurfaced then back together... anyone else have any IMPOTENT TRICS CHIME IN... THNX FIREWATER23

    Take off the studs at the bottom of the timing chain cover so you can slide the cover on at a slight angle to take care of not sliding off the lower oring for the oil pick up.
    after a couple bolts started screw studs in their places after cover.

    Can somebody carefully compare the '05-early'06 headgasket to the redesigned headgasket? It would be really nice if there was a way to tell from outside the motor which headgasket the motor has. Like, oh, hey, look, they put an extra tab on the gasket that sticks out at the front corner of the head.
