Help with amplifier installation

Hello everybody, I just recently purchased a TRD Tacoma Sport and I wanted to upgrade the non JBL factory system, this forum has been a great source of information to me but I've ran into an issue. So i purchased ********* PNP wiring harness EZQ Recurve and I'm trying to wire it to a LC7I audio processor.

There are 4 speaker leads, one front left, one front right, one rear left and one rear right in 20 gauge wire and then there is an additional set in 18 gauge wire for front left and front right? This has me scratching my head as I have no idea if the leads go to the amp or the LC7I ??

My installation includes a Kenwood xr900-5 (5 channel amp) JL audio stealthbox and a LC7I audio processor, any help would be appreciated so I can get this thing up and running, thanks in advance.

 

It sounds like you need to pay an installer.

Some DIY is simple (e.g., light bulbs), other DIY requires skills, experience, and special equipment (e.g., transmission rebuild, car stereo installation, etc).

 

Take some pictures. Plenty of people on here should be able to get you figured out.

 

Agreed. I did my install including an amp, line out converter, sub, new speaker wire runs, etc. take some pics and we’ll walk you through it.

Regarding the wiring from the head unit... I used some adapters that plugged into the factory harness and head unit. Using these, i spliced into the speaker wires and power wire (blue iirc) with the speed wire. I then ran that to the line out converter and amp under the front seats and went from there.
