    Hi there
New to Tacoma’s and new to this forum . Any info much appreciated. I just replaced my serpentine belt on my truck and noticed the #2and#28D5DED8C-2F66-4A5A-83B5-98EF3D7FFF1A.jpg idlers spin without any noise or resistance. #1 idler has a bit more resistance but is quiet and turns smooth also . Is this normal ?
    Thanks

It may not look it, but inside the pulley, the bearing in the #1 idler is twice the width of the #2 idlers; thus, it will exhibit a bit more resistance. It should be OK as long as you don't feel any binding for looseness. Being down low and between the AC compressor and the crankshaft, that idler is usually the first to need replacing. I have a thread on replacing just the bearings inside the pulley's.
