Replace the chrome ring around air vents

You still making these? I’m getting some bad glare from the cup holder and MT shift boot piece (both chrome).

I did that one better. I JUST completed installing a Wood Dash Kit from Carid.com. I am just now posting a video to Youtube that I made to document how I installed it. Once that is posted, I will provide a link here. Here is a direct link to their website and the page for the kit:

I've been getting some bad glare off the cupholder trim ring, too. The chrome trim just pries off from the top (no need to take apart the center console) with a wide trim-removal tool. I then took a red (coarse) 3M scuffing pad and went at it. I was going to paint it, but decided I liked the brushed-silver look, at least for now, and there's no need to worry about paint durability.

 

@rrentrop I was looking through your website but couldn't find the air vent vinyl which covers the chrome, am I missing it?

I clicked on this too, and found something I am not sure about, but I ordered them anyway! I ordered the side marker blackout vinyl decals for the sides of the headlights. They were only $9.99, so I thought I would take a chance. I had ordered the decals for the rear tailgate handle, as well as the blackout decals for the TACOMA and V6 badges. Those look ok; certainly better than the chrome, but not really what I was hoping for. Still, they are adequate. I am still hoping someone will come up with black overlay badges for the Tacoma that are way less than $100+ that are out there right now! Thanks to the person who originally shared this link!
