Damn dude, when Jason @BandanaBerg, Jimbo @NotRed, and I were coming back down from Tip Top, at the bottom of the "trailhead", there were, I it had to have been well into the 40's on up number of vehicles that passed by in front of us!!!:goingcrazy::facepalm: I mean, the three of us were :ballchain: until they ALL pretty much passed up. I believe when we finally were able to go through, a few more came by, but we had already "crossed their path".

THAT was ridiculous!!! Sounds like a douche thing to say, but damn dude, split up the group a little bit??? :smack: WTH??? :notsure:

I may end up doing Tip Top on a separate run time??? I mean, I'm NOT one to go fast on trails and never have been. Besides, I don't have the funds to fix stuff that could easily be avoided by going slower. I just don't have that kind of money to dump. The night run in Ocotillo a couple years back was just straight F'N LAME!!! Both @Nicklovin and I were trying to keep up with the group. Nick could have, but he decided to hang back with me. The point being though is that, regardless, both him and I were left behind and in my book, slow or not, you just DO NOT DO SHI* LIKE THAT???!!! The reason why I only wheel with people I know. Last year at San G., I felt pretty comfortable with the group I was with though and I just felt bad because I was slowing people down, so I hung towards the back the next chance I got when we all stopped for a photo-shoot.

@dumontrider was cool to meet for sure!!! Btw Jase, I STILL need to get a better tire pump. :D:p I'll be bringing my old back-up pump.

Anyways, it just all depends on what the trail ends up being? I want to do Tip Top Mountain for sure again. I was also thinking about some other trails that I HIGHLY doubt anyone will be on as it is not part of the "list". Which, btw, @BLKTRUCK Oscar, I will let you know ahead of time of what I MIGHT do. I gotta dig out my trail book.

I have a Garmin 57LM with a Funtreks SDCard with the trails mapped out and it coincides with the book. I used it for my Swansea-Cerro Gordo Trail solo run and it worked out very well!!! I was very pleased with it for sure!!! :D But yeah, I gotta dig out my trail book first and will know more by the end of this weekend.

Finally, with that said just above, that doesn't mean I know the area, so me saying I can "lead a group" would be F'N NONSENSE and stupid for me to even say so. Thus, if I do happen to do whatever trail it is and it doesn't impact any of the other runs, if someone wants to tag along, then they can, but just know that it will be a learning curve finding my way around the place still. :notsure: Anyways Oscar, I will let you know if that is the case, okay.

Its not a race, I'm down for nice and slow. I gotta drive my truck to work since its my daily lol I wouldn't mind tagging along if that's okay with you? I have my recovery gear and all that good stuff. I'm running Gaia app on my iPad mini in the truck with all the good maps if that helps my cause lol None the less very excited to see everyone soon. Plus its my birthday weekend again like it was last year lol

Sweet deal brotha!!! I have some recovery gear as well... and traction mats for just in case reasons. I always tend to bring roughly 10gal of fuel and 5gal of water (tap), plus whatever other drinking water and small amounts food.

Do you have comms? I have just MOST of the bands available to me as well as able to hop on a HAM repeater if need be. The only "extra" back-up radio I have is a GMRS/FRS handheld. Well, actually, I can talk to you on 400 with my Baofeng if I have to as well???

I don't know, we'll figure something out if you don't have comms yet? I'll be digging through my trail book, but gotta find that damn thing first. :bananadead:

I'll look to see if they do those free trial periods. I don't order nearly enough for it to be useful.

Either way, I think you had the Viair 88P? :notsure: I'll get that one whether in time for this trip or at least by whatever next trip I should have it by then. That thing was pretty damn fast.

I got on board air. My compressor is crappy, but the tank is a good buffer lol. If you need to you can use my air if you still want to go on Jason's run.

I'll likely go on Jason's run, but head off to a different trail after? Just depends on what trail is being done first?

All I'm saying at this point is that I don't know what we all will be hitting? I don't have sliders and I only have stock armor. Pretty limited in that sense. We were supposed to do the lower half of Heartbreak, but the boulders at the bottom of the trail were just a bit too gnarly and even Jason and Jimbo were agreeing I probably shouldn't go down it. So, we didn't. I don't want to hold anyone up this time around, which is why I'm being a little picky about it. I'm thinking about other people's "enjoyment" and felt bad that I held Jason and Jimbo back from finishing that part of the trail. I don't want to do that again to anyone.

Tip Top Mountain, pretty easy trail with SOME spots to where you have to choose a fairly good line or something on the bottom of your truck isn't gonna like you after you bash into a rock coming down off of a rock. :bananadead: Jason's in a fairly nicely built rig and he was still hitting rocks from time to time. :ballchain: HAHAHAHAHA, we ALL were!!!:laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Other than that, I would humbly consider Tip Top Mountain a nice "learning" trail for the more non-experienced, but yet at the same time a fun trail for the more experienced. Plus, the view at the top is just beautiful!!! If you're looking to "rock crawl" hard core, NOT the trail to go on as it is definitely "easy" in that regards compared to HUGE boulders and such. Also, NOT recommended to go too fast as the rocks tend to be "sharp" for sure in some spots, from what I remember.

Oh, and thank you for the offer brotha!!! I hope we, at least, meet otherwise!!!:fistbump::cheers:
