Ordered it and bed lights (bed is covered) on my 2019 Sport. Locks and unlocks with key FOB. Ordered the truck back in July. Came in mid October. Love it.

Odd, what state was the dealer in? Just trying to figure out why and port.

Thanks, I don’t think California is in a special Distributorship. It should be regular Toyota USA. I guess it must be either regional or a delete request? I’ll look a the configurator for clues.

Getting that pop and lock soon is that wire harness good to use it seem to have a large bulge there now would be noticeable after you put the kick plate in place

Totally forgot about this thread and my statement I left out there....
I have since found that it was PORT done and uses a similar device, but it doesn't appear to be Pop-N-Lock. So, it would appear as though GST (and perhaps other regions) are at least putting it on all the trucks by default.

If you are asking me...if the wire harness shows...it does not, especially after the kick panel is reinstalled.

My 2019 trd off road with tech has the power locking tailgate. I don’t see it added as an option on the window sticker. Purchased in California.

I know this is a dated thread, but I just confirmed with Toyotajeff at Fred Anderson Toyota in raleigh NC, that they DO have the Toyota PopLock part # 00016-34092 in stock, as of April 19, 2019. He also confirmed that indeed, it is a southeast toyota thing, which was also confirmed by my own local dealer here in the San Francisco Bay area. They said it was not available here, but the part number did come up on the Toyota parts list here in California, but they said it was not available here. However, they did say they could install it if I could get it, which I can. I was quoted "$184 + shipping so about $20 in shipping". I am still waiting to hear what the installation would be at my local toyota dealership. However, I did just see the detailed official Toyota installation instructions online, in pdf format, and they are 20 pages long! However, they are pretty detailed, for the installation people. However, one thing I noted from that, was that they instruct their people to hook it to the driver's side, which would make it open with the DRIVER DOOR, or with one click, instead of hooking it with the passenger door, which would require two clicks. I think hooking it to the passenger side makes more sense, as otherwise, whenever you open the driver door, it will also unlock the tailgate, and do forth. Here is a link to the official Toyota instructions for installation:

Correct, GST connects to Driver’s side kick panel. Passenger side would probably be better, as less wear on the mechanism.

My 2019 Off Road didn't come with it, In Canada, Toyota doesn't even offer it as an accessory. I will be installing the Pop & Lock

If you want to spend five minutes of your time to install then feel at ease take a look at this lock: (fits 2016 thru current Tacoma)

It does not require any power just the effort you spend to install it once.

I know this thread is a few months old, but just in case you have not installed it yet, I made a video if mine after I installed the popnlock. I did it though, in a slightly different way than instructed. Here is a link to my video:
