    DT only gave me 9 months to pay off the new tires before the rate went to about 29.99% on the initial purchase, but I also got $150 in prepaid visa cards with their store card and goodyear tire rebate

    I don’t know if that’s a new credit account or a new PayPal account.
    I guess I’ll have to look into it more, the chart thing makes it seem like there would be no interest for 24 months.

    I’d plan on having them payed way before then though

    No interest for 24 months is better than what most credit card companies offer, so if it's legit then it would be a good deal. Just make sure you really check out the fine print.

    Code still stays stored in the ECU though and they'll see it when they hook it up to their scanner. Though if it does go away completely it might work ya

    I have heard some people have luck with that Cat-a-clean product you can buy at the parts stores, but if you don't have to worry about emissions then its no big deal unless it starts effecting performance somehow. I ended up with a bad rear O2 sensor too (p0136) I assume because of the cats not working as they should, that one didn't show up until awhile later though. New sensor took care of it

    Though without emissions testing you could just do the spark plug fouler trick and bypass the rear o2 completely

    If the person you hit doesn't have working brake lights it can be argued the other way. Usually it's a 2 party fault incident though.

    That's why it's usually considered both parties' fault, should technically still see that they're slowing down but without working lights it creates an unnecessary hazard and greater chance of an accident.

    Someone was talking about winch supply wiring gage a few pages back. It was Bill T's big 3 upgrade that got me into Temco welding wire. I used 1/0 for the supply and ground when I wired the Comeup. Very flexible and with heat (fire?) resistant insulation. I think you could load that wire until it was glowing red and it would still be fine for brief periods.

    I also have an inline breaker but I've been thinking about carrying a short jumper so I can just bypass it in an emergency since I'm not sure how long it takes a tripped breaker to reset. I think you could run a lot more than 200A through the winch in a pinch.

    Anyone on here with a 1st gen double cab with a hardtop RTT? I currently have the Tepui Ayer. Its on bed bars and sits below the roof line of the truck. I like it a lot, but have recently been thinking of possibly changing to the roofnest. would like to see how they sit above the roofline.

    I've been rear ended twice in the last few months. Both times there was a nice crunching sound as my Relentless bumper made a mess of their front end. All low speed tho.

    i am having issues lately with the 'slightly abrupt' slowing down shifting from 1st to 2nd (hills are the worst because of gravity)
    as far as i know there are no brake lights on when i am doing this
    i look in my rearview at the car behind (which is most likely an AT) and nearly 75% of the time they are being rabbits on the pedal at the green light and are having to hit their brakes in order to avoid rear ending me while i am shifting gears into 2nd.
    i don't know what else to do to keep them from doing this, this ain't no damned race at the green light (for me anyways)

    do i put on my hazards until i am safely into 3rd gear and away i go? to keep them behind me alert

    it's only time before some punk actually does rear end me, then i have to check if they are using their cell while driving and not paying attention, if its a yes then i will have to crawl out and put the serious hurting onto them that their momma always warned them about! i am cracking heads in a major way...

    Applies similarly to motorcycles too. Its best to hold a constant speed in the turn and accelerate on the way out. So your turn speed should be set before you start the turn and avoid braking in it.

    Also, there is no way that I am gonna get agro with my Tacoma that weighs 5k and 190hp with C.O.G. so high.

    When I was having fun with super sedans before 4x4, I got invited by Michelin tires to "test" out their Pilot Super Sports.
    All I remember from my pro-driver while I was piloting an ISF at Fontana was him yelling, FLOOR IT!, BRAKE HARD!! TURN! TURN MORE!!!! FLOOR IT!!!
    It was super fun but intimidating at first; then I googled my instructor....
