Like the title says, anyone on here have a Norwegian forest cat or possibly Maine coon? I adopted Dewey10 months ago, so now at a year old he is already 12 lbs of solid muscle. FYI, I did NOT know he was a Norwegian until recently. Very vocal, and acts like a 90 yr old man, always grumbling about something.

    None... yet.
Yeah, my in-laws have a full-blooded Maine Coon, he's just like 20 pounds of muscle and fluff. Incredibly gentle, friendly cat... though he looks like he wants to rip your face off at all times. I've heard Norwegians can get even bigger?

We've got a Maine Coon mix. Also an incredibly sweet cat, just much less imposing-looking. He's got all the fluff, just like half the muscle.

I really like these breeds, never knew anything about them until these two cats. Super friendly, very social... and yeah, really vocal. At least once a day our cat just head-butts his way into my office to just kind of prowl around meow-growl-squeaking at me for a few minutes, before curling up on my lap or my windowsill.

I think Norwegians are slightly smaller than a Maine Coon. getting up to around 20 lbs. I've also heard they take 5 years to fully mature.
