Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Ours is soft. I clean it out regularly although it's in an easy to reach place.

Interesting, I’ve never seen soft drain line before this.
I think the biggest reason it caused an issue is it came out of the pan as 3/4” and then dropped down to a 1/2” or so line before getting to the 1.5” main drain.
Now it comes out 3/4” to an elbow and right after the elbow it becomes the 1.5” that the rest of the line is.
Unfortunately the pan on this one is a pain to access so I wasn’t able to check to confirm that the pan was clean.

I think it’s generally a decent saw. If you want to branch into side work, might be better to get one that’s a bit nicer from the start though.

What would you suggest over it? I’ve had good luck with the rigid line and was looking at those as well. Preferable ~$300 range.

I mean it’s probably a good saw, especially in its price range. If you’re looking to keep it ~$300 range, I’d go that or the Rigid. Personally though, if I was thinking to make it a side gig a few years down the road, I’d bump up to ~$500-600 and go for a nicer Dewalt, Bosch or Rigid. Or even a good CL find.

I've been using this one for about two years. Had the widest fence available at the time, is easy to store and transport and it's sturdy. Right now it's 40% off. I have all DeWalt power tools and took a Gamble on this one and am very pleased. I do a ton of stuff around the house and have branched out doing custom woodworking for other people too and this saw has been more than adequate and was so much cheaper than the comparable DeWalt.

Agreed. I rock this one until I get my Powermatic set up. I've built jigs and different sleds for it. It's very accurate for a job site saw. You can run dado stack on it. The dust collection is top notch. I've used it pretty hard for 3 years and haven't had to do anything but routine maintenance; wax the bed and lube the screw threads.

I have the prior model (4000) of this one for about 15 years and it hasn’t disappointed. It’s been beat to shit moved across the country several times. I think if you stick to any of the major brands you’d be ok. That said, anything major I buy now has been Rigid. Seem to get a bit more bang for your buck. I like them and Milwaukee, both seem to try and make the first advances in innovation. Really happy with my Rigid plainer and miter saw.

Not a fan of Dewalt but it’s more just a preference thing, I honestly haven’t heard anything bad about them and they are tried and tested. I’m not even really sure why I don’t like them. Guess I’m a toolist? :notsure:

Can anybody recommend a half decent 1.28 gal/flush toilet? Currently using an American Standard Cadet 4. I like the 16" height and it flushes okay, buy a brush. They have a reputation for cracking tanks.

Question for you pros. Is there something I can paint the cinder blocks in my basement with that will act as a moisture barrier? I have them exposed and while they are I want to hot them with something, if there is something.
