Brackets are mounted upwards so the awning is pretty high for my liking. Might have to flip them downward. Seemed to work fine, though.

Plenty sturdy. Never tested with the RTT yet. Life.

Been reading this thread for a few hours and still have some silly questions, sorry its damn near 600 pages :)

FYI I have 2019 OR DBL w/ snugtop (no rails, smooth top)

    - Is it even possible for me to add a rack to the snugtop?
    - For those Ropopax fuel/water packs what mounts do you need and do you need any of those 'load panels'?

Thanks all, this rack looks awesome!

PS - Planning on adding a fly fishing rod vault to as well but I believe that should be easy peasy

Just put a top rac on my ARE topper and an thinking now that I screwed up on rail installation.

The cross bars have openings on one side to allow for you to insert the T-slot bolt without having to go through the end of the cross bar. I put mine together so all of those slots are facing down. Should I have installed them all facing up?

this would also solve the issue with my rail mounts where one of the screws is actually inside one of those openings and is therefore not engaging the T-Slot. The rack didn't come with any instructions and at the time I thought it made sense, not I'm thinking I may have installed them all upside down.

Yeah, cuts should face up. Easy fix, loosen one crossbar at a time and flip them.

Ok thanks. Will also have to do that with the bars that the rail mounts are attached to for that may require a but more work but definitely doable

Anyone know where to source mounting feet for the cap rack? The bracket you mount the cross bars to the Yakima \ thule tracks.

I see some on prinsu site but looking for maybe 1 1/2 in to maybe 2 inch? And maybe a lot cheaper than 80 bucks.

    Picture added for ref

I'm using a Shady Boy awning, seems to be popular with the VW Bus crowd.
The case is 49" long, about 15 lbs, awning opens up to 10' x 6' and doesn't need poles to hold it up, you can move the truck with the awning deployed.

The narrow ARB awning looks fine on a cabrack but it pretty useless for it's intended purpose. You spend a lot of time chasing shade and it doesn't do much for rain. Get a 6' version, the extra couple feet make a huge difference and don't look awful up top.

I do. I can't quiet remember how I mounted but here is a picture of how it sits. It is definitely behind the fairing. I will take some more of how it is mounted if you'd like.

Anybody know what these are? I got my Top Rack in today and installed it with no issues but these were in the box as well and I can't figure out what they are for. They obviously go across the cross bars but I didn't order anything extra with it. Just didn't know if it was a mount for a certain accessory or what?

Semi-related, but how is that bar? Better than the regular caliraised bars?

I love it! I have the amber lights wired up to a separate switch. I ran cheap Amazon light bars for several years on my first gen. They did the job but I always fought the moisture in the lens. When I got my second gen I went and splurged a bit and went with this one. Absolutely no issues so far at all and it was a fraction of the cost of some of the more expensive ones. Plus customer service was on point.
