I have a 2019 Tacoma. This was previously done to my 2017 Tacoma by someone on a trail in DFW, so I know it CAN be done. Ive been searching for a while but everyone seems to reference is the seatbelt extenders, which I know I dont need.

Do you guys know what is the program I need to turn the chime off? Or if there is a way to do it like in the 2nd gen Tacoma?

I use my seatbelt ALL THE TIME. I actually feel weird when i dont have it on, but when I go out on the trails and get in and out of the truck; or when I have to move back and forth while on a steep climb the seatbelt locks and I lose that mobility in my seat.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Carista definitely works. Bought it on Amazon for like $20 signed up for the trial subscription so you can access those features. Turned of the seat belt chime, and changes the lane change turn signal setting for the default 3times to an actual usable 7 times. Then canceled the subscription. You can still use some of the basic features with the sub.

Can also confirm Carista. Did it once early on with my ‘16 and it has been blissfully quiet when I don’t use the seatbelt.

I asked the dealer to get rid of mine. I told them I don't wear my seatbelt on trails and it was annoying :notsure:

Now my driver seat doesn't trigger the chime but the passenger seat is still the same. You might be able to get them to do both seats if you ask, but it doesn't bother me.

You know what's worse? The super-long exterior beep when you leave your keys in your car and press the door-handle lock area. Or when it's triggered when washing the truck and you go over said area and it thinks you're locking the keys in the cab.

I mean, what the flying eff is that about? One second of a beep would be fine...or maybe a rapid-pulse type beep, but 3-4 seconds worth??!

While I had my 2012 at Earnhardt Toyota for service I had them disable the seatbelt chime. I told them I was going elk hunting and didn’t want the chime when not wearing my seatbelts. They took care of it no charge.
