Any one using a Hi-Res Player? If so, recommendations?

I recently installed a complete audio system, which I am VERY happy with (wrote a review on another thread - link here). I have read on other forums (Stereophile, 4Runner) that a Hi-Res Player and AUX connection will give me even more quality, as it will provide a superior source and support better audio file types (FLAC, etc...).

A few of the recommendations that came up are as follows:
    • Fiio X5 3rd Gen (Approx. $300)
    • Astell&Kern AK70 MK2 (Approx. $500)
    • ONKYO DP X1 (Approx. $300)
Any other options out there that others are using AND how are you going about mounting?

Check out drop.com. They have some good deals on audiophile stuff including DAPs. Here's one that's currently for sale, but they have others. Changes every few days.
