Hey gents I'm new to the community but not new to this site. I've been using Tacoma World but never asked personal questions. This is my first post so go easy on me; if I seem like a dumb newbie poster, I am.

I know there's a lot of forums about leaf packs, but no one seems to be honing in on what I'm looking for. Here's my setup in a nutshell than I'll get on to the question.

    Right now I'm running:

    - Dirt King Uniball UCA's
    - Radflo 2.0's
    - Billstein 5160's
    - Wheelers SuperBumps (Front/Rear)
    - No Sway Bar
    - BFG KO2's for now

I'm still running the stock leaf and it suuuuuuuuuuucks. Ride in the front is like actual butter melting on a stack of pancakes but when it comes to my rear, it's like getting donky punched by Hulk Hogan while trying to take a crap. Its unnecessarily bad. Like getting nut checked by a mule while watching a Nickleback cover band called Dimeback.

So anyways, jokes aside, I need to know the best Performance leafs. I'm not hauling hardly ever and mainly do City/Highway driving but really need the performance for playing in the dirt.

The rear kills me both off road and on. Small dips, speed bumps, driveways, hell even the little tar fillings on the street make my rear go boom. She just bucks like a horse with its balls caught in poison ivy and barbed wire. So I realllllllly need an upgrade to the rear.

I was gonna do the Deaver J66 but being married has taken a toll on my truck funds and I can't justify 7+ Ben Franklin's to my wife. (Married men you know the struggle)
Honestly I'm trying to stay on the lower side of overall lift lately. I got over my 3" Lift with 285 M/T's phase. I want my truck to perform and eat up desert not to be the tallest one on the block.

Anyone have ideas for mid range price ($300ish) for good performance leaf springs with minimal rear lift?

Hope I gave enough of an idea of what I'm looking for and did brakthr

for 300 bucks you wont find anything other than an AAL.... even the general spring HD's are going to be north of 300 after shipping.

Thanks for the replies so far! I figured my options were limited to AAL's and lower end packs. I was hoping there was a secret that I'd not yet stumbled upon but it seems like I either go AAL's or just save and get the wife on board with a fresh J66 pack.

I'll keep searching my options and come to some conclusion at some point or another.

Maybe save up some $$ and buy a leaf pack later? I’m really happy with deaver leafpacks. But those ran me closer to 1k

Right there with you. Just installed some Stage III U402's not too long ago to replace my worn out HD Dakars. Granted they're still new, but damn they ride so nice.

If you can swing it OP, get quality from the jump. Trust me. Buy once, cry once. I started with a single 2" AAL many years ago. You have some other nice parts going in, don't skimp on the leaf packs.

I had AAL at one point. It was as comfy as riding on an unpaved road in a horse drawn carriage.

You can look into a progressive wheeler's 3 leaf pack and take the stock overload spring out. That should ride better than a single AAL.
