I'm on a roll. Just ordered a Steiner DBAL-i2/PEQ2. Depending on rail space, it will either go on my M4 CQBR pistol or my A4 rifle (currently wearing an OTAL-C). Now I just need another Surefire dual switch. I have an M952V paired with the OTAL-C. Since the DBAL is IR only (laser + illuminator), it will be paired with an M951 so I'll have white light available when needed.

 

Just waiting on brown Santa.

My first pistol ever. I've shot a lot of friends pistols, but I finally applied for my CCW this summer and picked up a used HK vp9sk with a couple extra mags. Fortunately, I didnt end up with four pistols, as I previously feared - just two. I also got a kahr PM9 that will be in shortly. For the HK, I ordered a holster of Amazon that should be here over the weekend.


What good is a pistol without some ammo? I found a cheap 1000rnd case of magtech 9mm and figured this would suffice for some practice rounds.


I finally got my rifle back from Savage. I shot some bad Hornady superperformance through it this summer and ended up fusing the bolthead so it wouldnt hold or eject brass. Savage was awesome and paid for all the shipping and all the gun smith work - no charge to me at all. Love that company. My FFL has a deal where if I buy at least $25 of stuff in the store they dont charge me any FFL fees...so I bought a magpul PRS gen 3 stock to toss my rig!!!!! Yeah baby! Notably, if anyone else buys a savage 110 ba stealth (which is what this is), the castle nut on the back of the rifle is too long for the magpul prs to fit correctly. My FFL swapped this out to something a little shorter so the stock would fit correctly and lock into place.



I got another 200 rounds of federal 300wm in route. I'll take pics as soon as they arrive.

Edit: I also ordered a full EMT basic life support kit and gun shot trauma kit to keep in my truck.

Do you feel like you got a good deal using Gunbroker? I have tried in the past but it seems like everything always ends up going way past what I would pay, and I can usually get a better deal at the local gun store.

 

I paid $467, plus $20 for shipping for this pistol. Paypall charged my another $15, so I ended up paying $502 when it was all said an done. Depending on your FFL fees and the extras that come with the firearm, its worth it. I got two extra mags and the guy who sold me all this tossed in a free pair of electronic hearing pro because he felt bad about the paypal fees. Oh, and this pistol has night sights. My FFL had the exact same pistol used for $530 in the store, but no extra mags, no hearing pro, and I would have had to pay taxes in my state. Lots of people, after you factor in shipping and assuming they have FFL fees between $35-$50, do end up paying close to full retail for used pistols that come with a couple extra mags. That I find silly. This pistol retails for around $650, mags are ~$35 so $70 for two, and electronic hearing pro is $40. I got $760 of stuff for $502. Not bad. Its close to what I would consider fair for what I got, but it is an HK, so it should shoot fine.

Gunbroker is about being patient. I spent a month biding on the HK before I finally got it. In the process, I got pissed off and ended up buying a kahr pm9 too. The Kahr pm9 goes for $680-760 with night sights. I picked up mine for $299. Just have a price in mind and no time frame, and you will eventually get a bite. There are enough crazed gun-nuts that have convinced themselves they need that exact firearm now and they will pay a stupid amount of money for something - let these people have their weapon and just wait your turn.

Edit: one more thing, I dont shop gunbroker super hard. I login maybe twice a week and toss a couple bids in on the stuff I want. Usually takes 10min of my time. Its not like you have to obsessively check every 5min. I put in my max bid once, and never look at it again.

 

The best deals are for ammo. People put auctions up that start at 1cent, and depending on the paycheck cycle, sometimes the auctions are quiet. You can get 1k rounds of Federal 9mm cased with brass shipped to your door for less than $100. Login, place bids on every single item, and just dont look again - dont be tempted to watch your bids or increase them, just let them roll. After you loose ten or so, make adjustments accordingly if its worth it to you. I picked up 200 rounds of federal 190gr 300wm matchking bthp shipped to my door for $187. But then again, I lost a lot of auction in the process of winning this one.

 

It's just a small piece of hand stop for any 20m rails.

I wish I knew about the Masada before I bought my G19 MOS. I really like the Masada. I had to pass on it. I am still saving I want to do a poly 80 this winter.

 

Glock is a good gun, I have two and if someone asked which to get the massive support for all things glock is a big plus. That said I like the Masada a lot, but where it fits into my gear is questionable. My CCW is still a 938, my hiking gun is my hk usp45 and my 2 gun competition gun is a 226. I would use it going Israeli loadout for two gun but that’s the role of the x95 and Jericho. It did just pass 1k rounds and no problems yet. 500 blazer 115, 300 freedom 135, and about 200 of 124 white box Winchester. Also gen 1 adoption doesn’t always go so well, ask me how I know(mdr/Hudson/stg) lol, but it’s iwi so there is hope

 

Slav squat in my partizan camo suit and 44 dot camo do rag. Not sure of the suit brand it was cheap. Probably wont last long.
