A mod’s a mod right? Time for 2wd low range!

This one is a little different to my Dana 300 that comprised of some shift levers and shift rods. <insert old man emoji>

Price isn’t bad. The guy that builds the kits did a pretty good job with it too.

I still need to order a switch so it might be a week or so before I install it.

Oh and yeah...I’m excited. A lot of the time off road I use 4 low just for the gearing. So the 2wd option will be sweet. I think the locker works too. I’ll mess with it once installed.

It takes commitment to read through all 72 pages, but doing LT takes commitment. lol. I picked up a giant kit a couple weeks ago and wanted to read back on your experiences with it. Pretty good kit so far i'm guessing?

I have heard a lot of negative reviews about the giant kit with the general geo of it and how it can cycle weird and some have even sold their kits after a few years for another SUA kit. As long as you are ok with a weld on kit, the DMZ kit IMO is probably one of the best SUAs on the market and also one of the first if not the pioneer kit so its had a good history of development. I have the DMZ kit and man it works very well and rides just like I want it to although I do have my compression set to handle whoops in the 45-60 mph zone so the truck likes cruising at about 25+ for a smooth ride on street. Another thing that I didn't like about Giant's set up is if you use his bedcage the legs get about half way into the bed...Tim's low profile bed cage takes up almost no space in the bed.

I've heard a lot of debates about it and from reading in the LT threads about it. It was always the intention to go DMZ but I have a buddy that swears by giants stuff. A deal popped up and I got it for a good price on the kit. I don't mind about the welding of DMZ, that's completely fine with me. After all, I do currently have a relocation setup that works alright for what it is. My buddy is also going to be doing all the tuning on the setup as well. As far as the bed cage's go, I personally do like giants cage that they offer. I may request for the furthest bar connecting the back two bed bolts to be removed, but all in due time.

Side note...I’m not a desert racer hitting “6 foot whoops” like the rest of this forum. So that take into consideration when I say it’s a good kit.
