Watching top gear and hangin out with this old girl today. My mother in laws dog named Cheryl. She’s 100% deaf but still knows when there’s a chicken fried steak nearby.

Dogs need human contact. I am sorry but I don’t get having your dogs in a shed you made for them? Why not have them in your house?

Beautiful dog, looks like our Jake who was put down last year, he was 13 years old. We are hoping to adopt another Golden Retriever.

They destroy, piss on everything and not even a spanking stops them from getting rid of their habits. They have plenty of toys and we regularly walk them and bring them inside for some snacks while we eat. During the winter is when we bring them all inside the house.

I know you don't like it, but they enjoy their shed and have a blast playing and relaxing inside with the cold AC

Don’t take it to heart, I guess they can not be called outside dogs. Here in the small town I live in, people have dogs chained up outside, and that is just wrong
When I was discharged from the Army I thought it would be nice to have a dog, and he ended up being a outside dog because I could not take care of myself let along having a dog and it haunts me to this day being a A Hole and just thinking of myself.
Dogs need to be trained to go outside and it is not hard getting them house broke. You just need to take them out 20 to30 times a day and then rewarding them when they do their business. We took Barney home at 8 weeks and he only pee in the house one time, and that was our fault. 2 weeks time and he was housebroken but like I mentioned we took him out 30 or more times a day. They are lots of work and commitment.

Spanking a dog will have the exact opposite effect you expect. They wont learn anything from that, like zero. In turn it makes them confused and they are likely to do whatever you punished them for, more often.

We built our house prior to getting our puppy at 7 weeks. I was hyper vigilant because I didn't want any dog smells in the carpet. We had him completely potty trained in less than 4 weeks. During that time, he had 3 #1 accidents in the house and zero #2. They were all on hard surfaces so we were able to not have any smells in the house for other dogs who might visit to mark over. We didn't raise our voice or discipline him one time. Just praise when he did it where we wanted which was outside. 3 years later, he has free roam of our house 100 percent just like our other dogs before him. Often we are at work and he's by himself 10 hours at a time. Never one issue with destruction or accidents. Dogs must be exercised more than a typical walk. This is crucial to keeping dogs from being destructive and something most dog owners think isn't needed. It can be a lot of work getting to that point, but it's absolutely worth it in the long run. Best of luck to you.

Cool. The only reason I responded is because the post I quoted sounded like chaos and not how dog ownership needs to be. Best of luck.

While at her dental, they found what they believe to be a mass on Sammies spleen. Waiting to hear back on an appointment to have it looked at more.

I can't like this, but you have a beautiful dog there. It might not be as bad as you think. I'm sorry, I can't tell what kind it is. How about a little more info.

Thanks. I’m hoping it’s nothing too serious. She’s a double dapple dachshund. We adopted her approximately four years ago. She was an owner surrender that was supposed to be put to sleep because she’s blind. Well she doesn’t know that, because she gets around better than our other dogs.
