How do I get OEM TRD Pro LED Lights on my 2019 TRD Sport? I assume they're not plug and play. I'm not buying a new wiring harness because that will cost too much and I haven't seen any conversion kits for them. Should I just wait? Or is there something I don't know? And are the 2020 TRD Pro LED Lights fully LED or just the DRL Bar?

Also, if anyone here believes I am better off with a specific aftermarket brand I am open to other options if it makes sense. Mainly, I would like to upgrade my headlights which has proved to be more difficult than I ever imagined.

I work at a Toyota dealership and I can't even figure this out. We just got a 2020 TRD Pro Tacoma Army Green and now that I have seen the new LED lights, I cannot unsee them. They are beautiful. The left headlight says TRD and the right one says Pro and the TRD Pro lights up. They go for $2,000 retail but my cost is $1,418 with tax. Its steep but I believe worth it. I will upload a picture here.

If you're willing to spend that much on headlights, go for these bad boys here. Not only do you get a bit more functionality out of them, but they're also cheaper and have an amazing warranty, plus they are similar style.

Hi Mike. Don't remember where/who said this but I heard that they are in fact NOT plug-and-play, however... should be relatively easy to splice or make an adapter with some electrical knowledge and diagrams.

yeah i prefer the morimotos because the toyota DRL's are too narrow imo. they make the headlights seem squinty.

the tacomabeast DRL's are perfect to me but too bad the rest of the headlight sucks.

Second this I did the GE +130 and they made a HUGE difference. If you're more into the looks there are lots of people doing RX350 retrofits. like this: https://thetrailhunters.com/diy/toyota-tacoma-hid-projector-retrofit-and-bhlm-diy/

@piff thank for that. I will ask around in the shop and see if there's anyone with experience and confidence with doing that.

@sandiegohasthebesttacos If I don't go with the Toyota ones, I believe you are correct. That might be the best bet. They are slightly cheaper than the OEM TRD Pro ones and they have the attachment. Tacoma Beast ones look great and the price is even better but nobody seems impressed by the headlight itself. Also, the quality worries me. I don't want to replace my headlights every 5-6 years.

@El Duderino Good to know Jeremy. Thank you for the input.

@6MTPro Appriciate the info. Thats a pretty intense way to get a nice light. Probably a great option price wise but I think I'd rather just go with a new headlight.

@Taco16LB If I wanted to look cool, I would be driving a BMW M5 not a Tacoma. I work hard for my money and I'll spend it exactly how I see fit.

See my signature for actual data, but Morimoto housings:

    Cost less
    Have a longer warranty
    Perform better
Can be ordered and installed today

OEM housings would require an adapter harness that, while we're working on it, doesn't exist yet.

First decide what you want. The best brightest super badass ones people recommend are annoying to most people.

@TRSAndrew Thanks for the info! They most likely are better but I think I'm going to be stuck on wanting the ones that say TRD Pro. For whatever reason, I'm big on as many OEM parts as possible until I get to the stuff they Toyota does not make. Plus they're not saving me that much. If they were under $1,000, that would be another story.

@OMGitsme You're 100% correct. I've thought about that. The stock ones are probably bad enough with blinding people in front of you, I'm not sure if I need better than that if the price is only $200 less.

I like the lights my 2019 came with, LED runlites and LED fog runlites. I change the low beams to LED and they work fine.

You need to read the threads below. It details Toyota part numbers for the 2020 headlight assemblies, where to purchase a conversion harness, etc. A fellow member is manufacturing the conversion harness for $85.00 to make the 2020 LED headlight conversion super simple, plug-n-play, for 2016 + Tacoma’s. Zero wire splicing, soldering, figuring out wiring schematics, etc. Best mod that I have done so far and is totally reversible if you decide to sell your Tacoma down the road...

I think it makes total sense that their absolute most off road oriented model is made with the most off road friendly short wheelbase.

Correct. Toyota will NEVER offer their flagship off-road Pro model in a long bed configuration.

Too bad you didn't get them for black Friday. They came with free Morimoto fog lights for less than $1000.

    And they look sick.

Those are the turn signals on the DRL btw not to false advertise.
