Keyless entry??

    My 2017 Tacoma was purchased used with no key fob, only a key. I have electric door locks and windows, and I do not have a keyhole on passenger door, is my truck equipped with keyless entry and only have to purchase replacement fob, or it's not AMD have to buy whole keyless kit? How can I tell? Help please!

    Message me the vin if you'd like I can decode it.

    I believe some SR models didn't come with fobs. I would simply install a Compustar remotestarter/alarm rather than trying to get the factory system to work.

    Up north we all have remote starts, but compustar doubles as an alarm and door lock remote.

    You can find kits like these at audio shops, or best buy etc. I would add the alarm while you're at it, don't know if you need the remote start. I use mine in the summer and winter haha.
