I'd say get the one that is suggested in this thread. The only thing it doesn't do is charge your ipod, but for the price that's okay.

It should say it on the face of the stereo. If it doesn't say "JBL " you don't have the JBL stereo. It didn't work with my JBL stereo, but they gave me a full refund and got to keep it. I gave it to my parents.

Yeah, one thing though, look at your serial number on the back of the ipod, does it start with MC?

    Yeah anytime.

That's really strange, sorry i can't help you on that one.

No, when you hook up the ipod adapter it adds a second function to the "disc" button. You press it and it does cd, then you press it again and it goes to the ipod.

Anyone know of a way to modify this to add +5v power to this as well. I haven't looked into it yet, will most likely get one, but the lack of powering the iPod is a major drawback for me. I was spoiled with my tC as it was all factory from the start, never took the iPod out of the car.

I would be interested in this as well. I don't see any possibility of it happening easily though.

Something like this should work if you can find one for sale.

Ok, so got mine in the other day, hooked it up today and.. nothing. Press the disc button and nothing. I tried with cds in and no cds in (6-disc changer). Aux still works, but there is not switching once it's connected. The stranger part is it actually shows as charning my iPod (1st gen Touch). The accessory splash screen shows up as well, but no option to change anything on the stereo..

    Anyone have suggestions?
