So, does anyone have any tips for removing the misalignment spacers?

You could always replace the spacers as well as the bushing/bearing down there. Wheelers sells them for like $7 a side. A couple snap rings and use a ball joint press kit to pop them in and out. Pretty easy.

    Yep.
Try standing it on end and hitting it with a mini BFH and a broad punch? Flip and repeat?

I looked at wheelers and didn’t find them under the icon products. Is it a wheelers product?

These guys. Double check with wheelers or do some digging but I think it fits pretty much all coilovers for our truck.

Took a hacksaw to the collar. Still didn’t budge, so I cut the rear too.

I took a grinder and ever so gently went in deep with two relief cuts opposite sides.. was trying to think of a way to force the relief cut open and ended up using a hatchet as a wedge, couple taps and it exploded. Like yours one side was still stuck on pretty good after getting the other off. Matt made a plate jig to mount the strut upside down that made it easier to work with. Two separate orders from icons and all the parts later getting things back in order...

That’s amazing!!! Nice plate jig, I coulda used one of those!

I ordered the new collars (PN 257501) so hopefully they come this week.

I’ve decided to swap shocks so that the larger misalignment spacers is on the rear, so the shock lower doesn’t hit my out CV boot.

I was thinking about flipping the top hat, but the fill port might hit the chamfer at full droop lol

    It’s always something haha

    it's been a paint, that's for sure.

My Icon parts arrive tomorrow, and hopefully I'll get them all assembled (with anti Seize) and installed before the weekend

I also just bought top hats, so I can rebuild my OME shocks as trail spares or sell them lol we'll see

I hope with the overhaul you are giving them they should last what you need...get that spacer for added insurance if you havnt already though.

Thanks man! I'm thinking I'll keep them and see how the ride is, and if I like them, next summer I'll get them rebuilt with 700 lb springs to prep for a winch.

or I'll sell both and buy kings? IDK what i'm even doing anymore lol

Also, I'm looking at trying these out - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RQB4DX...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Might just pony up for these:

I recommend these before either of those. Especially tacomabeast. All that dude does is resell and mark up stuff. I’m pretty sure the two headlights you linked are the same thing.
