Mine looks nearly identical (sans the wire loom). My house battery is in the bed, so I drilled a hole in the bed next to the drain hole and routed my cables up through there. I then used a couple large rubber washers, one in the bed, one under the bed, with some good exterior tape to keep the elements out.

I had this problem as I was living out of my gfc this summer. I ended up putting a bead of silicon caulking on my cab to direct water away from the door. Once I returned to building life it comes off very easily.

I see you used the GFC t nuts to mount that in the track. Anyone have any ideas of other t nuts that might be cheaper that could be used on the overhead track system?

    Thanks!

Got mine installed today (#399) by Mattias and John. Drove 19 hours straight from Santa Barbara, CA to Belgrade, MT with stops only to pee and get gas. What a drive! Loved the shop. Super cool place, lots of rad people working on these campers in a beautiful place. And the shop dogs are awesome too!.

what did you use for the material on the tailgate to smooth out the ridges? What screws? Did you use factory holes?

Got a email yesterday from Taylor at GFC. My build date has been moved up from Feb 2021 to July 2020. So I'm guessing that means a big bump in the wait line for all orders. Check your email. He also mentioned that GFC will be making a big announcement some time this week.

Anyone take there camper off and on regularly?

Looking to figure out an easy system to do this with only two people.

we currently do it with 4 people but just wanted to pick some brains. Some kinda hoist I guess?

I don't take it off regularly but I did take it off by myself one time. Kinda bubba but it worked, basically a bottle jack in the bed and some wood scraps. Get it up high enough to get some 4 bys under and extended out the sides. Rig up something to support the 4 bys and drive away. I then got some stands under there to support the weight and strapped all together. Did survive a 50 mph wind and rain storm and does help to have a second person to guide you back in for reinstall.

I love it, but have to ask- would the crane thing in the background not be easier?

I’m tempted to go with the Harken, might see if there is a slightly stronger one to go with but its only for lifting after that I can set it down.. would love to find a 350lbs garage hoist but my goggle search came up short
