PT948-35160 is the 2016-2019 kit, this is easy to get, lots of stock.

PT857-35200 is the 2020 kit, this is not yet available.

Yeah, the 2016-2019 kit instructions come with a template you use to cut a hole in the bed. The 2020 trucks already have a hole with a cover in place. They're different sized holes.

Installing the 2020 kit will be possible on 2005-2019's, but it would not be easy to install the older kit into the new bed. (Caveat: the 2020 already has wiring running to the bed, the older trucks didn't, you would need to run the wiring from the cab to the bed to use the new kit on an older truck).

Thank you. So if 2018-2020 are the same, whats the difference from them and 2016-2017?

Is there a new roof rack coming? Confirmed with other forum goers and my service department that the antenna of the 2020s moved forward about 1 to 1/2” and now the OEM roof rack doesn’t deploy without pushing the shark fin and roof down a little bit.

2005-2019 roof rack will not fit 2020. Sounds like an updated rack is in development. No ETA.

Oh, that’s great news! I was expecting to have to run wires for those on the 2020 kit.

I wonder how my specific 2020 Sport model fits into this equation. I have the model with the panoramic view camera option so it does have a front grille camera. But it doesn’t have terrain-view. I wonder if the head units use the same front camera for PVM and terrain-view? I would think so, so perhaps I’d need to order the 2020 TRD Pro grille?

Yeah maybe I should have worded it differently. What I really meant was, if you have a camera, use the 2020 Pro grille.

can someone confirm that the 2016-2019 short beds are the same as a 2020 short bed?
Called Toyota parts and they said the bed cover changed part number so they can verify

You want to know if the bed is the same or if the cover is the same?

    Sorry for the confusion.
if the bed size/measurement is the same for the 2016-2019 shortbed to the new 2020 shortbed

Im planning to purchase a soft tri fold for my 2020 short bed and they have 2016-2018 short bed, some have 2019 short bed ($15 more for some reason) but I dont see anything for 2020.
If the bed size didnt change on the 2020, I'll get the one for 2016-18

The bed size didn't change on the 2020.

Found out the hard way. I installed one on Monday. It fits, but only in the retracted position. If you try to use them the one in the back bumps into the antenna. I'll leave them on for now because I can't return them, but I'll replace them when a functional one comes along.
