    Welcome to the shit show,

First off my truck is going to strike a lot of opinions, at the time of me writing this, I've had the truck for about 8 months. I fucking LOVE my tacoma. The color scheme of the truck wasn't really planned. It really kind of just happened. and BOY do I think its coming along really nicely so far. well lets get into some pictures.

    image4 (2).jpg

This was the night I brought the truck home, probably taken 30 minutes after I had driven it off the lot. not a whole lot going on here. although shortly after i ended up getting a set of step bars and a light bar from some family members for my birthday.

    Step bars/Light bar:
    image2 (2).jpg image3 (2).jpg

then, shortly after that my girlfriend ended up finding a wrap place that was doing a raffle on partial sponsorship on a full wrap. entered. "won." and after one hell of a headache and a TERRIBLE experience with one of the MOST unprofessional places of business I've personally ever dealt with; I was handed back the keys to this BEAUTY
    image0 (2).jpg image1 (2).jpg

goddamn aint she a beaut, but y'all cant see what's going on with the wrap.. basically, I ended up going with shadow military green from 3m.. it's a camo pattern that shifts depending on how the light is hitting it in the position you're looking at it from.. (chromaflair or whatever the fuck it's called, who knows I throw sandbags for a living) but basically it gets a lot of attention. probably the 4th day of me having the wrap on it on my way back from the camping trip pictured above I had a guy honking and waving his arms at me just to tell me he liked it. I've had a lot of similar situations happen since. it really makes you feel good knowing you're on the right track to being something a little different.

    but then..

    one day..

I decided I would check offerup while I was on my break at work and saw a super sketchy post that just showed two stock photos of some wheels that were obviously from the companies website accompanied by two photos of the wheels with tires on them that were also obviously ripped off the internet and cropped to just show the wheel. at this point I'm expecting this to be a waste of time. the dude wanted $500 for 5 wheels. He said they were like new, I proceeded to run him through a slew of questions trying to figure out if this deal was legit or not. After messaging him for a few hours we decided to meet up so i could see the wheels in person. To my surprise,I didn't get mugged. Instead I got 5 Black Rhino Reno's for $500.

    image11.jpg

after a long week of a lot of overtime, I decided to go pull the trigger on a new set of rubbers. The moment I saw this big green bastard with those huge red wheels and some general grabber atx's I fell in love.
    image9.jpg
The dealership has already tried taking it from me and throwing me in a better packaged truck, but I want to see what I can do to this one before I give her up. I'm going to throw some more pictures down below, aswell as update this thread whenever I put new stuff on it. I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions, positive or negative. you're entitled to you're own opinion around these parts. also, i drive around in dirt every day, at no point is my car showcar clean, unless its about to head to a show (coming soon)

    image8.jpg image5.jpg image7.jpg image6.jpg

Thanks for sticking it through all that, I sure as shit had a hell of a lot to say. I tried condensing it all as much as I could. I hope you have a great day!

good from far, far from good my friend. where do you want me to start? basically i was initially told i could schedule an appointment after i had paid half the wrap off. after fully paying it off, they tried telling me i couldn’t get my truck in their shop for another month and a half. they tried up selling literally everything they possibly could have. which would be cool and all if it was scheduled halfway through the payments as previously discussed. but no. they wanted to switch it up halfway through and make me wait until it was fully paid off. fast forward truck goes to the (very full) shop, and i get told that it’ll take 3 weeks for the “quality of work” that’s the shops standard. my truck sat in their shop for 2 and a half weeks untouched. completely unprepped other than what i had done to it prior to it leaving my driveway (clay barred fully and washed completely, i’m not trying to make somebody’s job harder than it needs to be). after going back and forth with the guy (with a lot of very rude exchanges between the both of us, and a lot of his fuckups being blamed on my girlfriend lol), i told him he had an extra 5 days to get the job done or i was coming for my truck wrapped or not. which was wrapped, but half of the shit we discussed wasn’t done, and the other half that was done was riddled with air bubbles and peels. truck went back for a second time, this time 90% of the way finished once i got it back. i have a full warranty on the wrap and i’d honestly rather pay somebody else to go back over and look everything over. because a few things started to peel back in a couple different areas again aswell as there being a HUGE section underneath my rear bumper that is completely wrong. they tried to overstretch the material and it all popped off, creating a large area just inviting rust. i have so much more detail i could include but i’ve been typing for like the last 3 hours. some other time i’ll go into the rest of it

Sweet color scheme. I think white lettering on tires would look good too.

I actually like the unique military look, just not diggin’ those red wheels.

Exactly what type of vehicle wrap did you “win”? I don’t understand the up sell part of the story if you won a vehicle wrap contest.

yeah honestly i wanted to go with bronze or gold to match the hog sticker on my rear window. but 5 wheels for the price of two is hard to beat. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ especially when i can just repaint if i choose.

as for the wrap, he wanted to charge me 3x extra to “expedite” it when I told him that him changing the scheduling on when i could get the truck in his shop halfway through the payments was bullshit, considering it was going to be pushed back by a month and half at the time of finishing the payments. he also tried to get me to pay for “extra materials” on my “full wrap” to do my bumper and chrome bezel surrounding the grill. when i just wanted it wrapped in black. i’d understand if he said it was for the labor or chrome or blah blah but he said it was for the material. when i already paid for a full wrap. in a premium material.

Man.......you make all the dweebs with the cement-grey trucks, running 285’s on black Methods, rocking a Prinsu rack, look so incredibly boring. Glad you have the nards to do your own thing, your own way, and share it here.

    Kudos on a cool truck.

Whoa dude, relax. You have noticed the wheels you bought right? They instantly mean you can't attack someone for having a "typical setup".

I agree, OP's truck is cool and good on him for not caring. Just don't need to shit on people for zero reason.

Haha......sorry you missed my sarcasm. I have all the normal mods too. Sema wheels, Lopro bumper, ko2s, boring silver paint, meso coin holder, hondo garage phone mount etc, etc, etc.

I am that dweeb in many ways. I should have clarified.
