thanks man, I’ve shortened the front bumper to give it some more approach angle, I put some larger 1.9’s on it yesterday just to have my Rx crap out on me lol. We’ll see how it performs once I get back together with Sean and brad

Wheeling with friends builds confidence too. I went to a local trail system this last week in my 2nd gen. I had to use 4wd to get through the entrance, because of all the rain. Barely got moving on the trails when I came up on a huge slick mudhole. I turned around and went home, because I didn't wanna get stuck out there all by myself! If someone was there to pull me out, I would have attempted the mudhole.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

89 Gears is pretty good from what I've heard. If you are on Instagram of FB he's on those more. But I think he is also on here but I can't remember his name

You can bring that when we venture into TN the 2nd weekend of November  Chocoloco looks to be super packed with TW and GA T4Rs going so we'll be skipping it and heading to Chattanooga for some light wheeling/camping

That's the write-up that inspired me to take it on. I bought the lock ring pliers that he recommends and the Knipex boot clamp pliers (that I see he has added as an alternative to the Lisle ones he originally recommended).

Reboot kit for 2nd and 3rd gen is part number 04428-04010. Can be found online anywhere from $35 w/ shipping to $50 w/ free shipping.

Not a big fan of crowds when it comes to wheeling, plus one of my buddies is worse than me about crowds and I haven't wheeled/camped with him in a few years

Should be fun, trying to plan which trails we do now but my internet is sucking onsite. Probably because I should be working :anonymous:

I thought I saw your name on the Chocco list? A couple of Bama guys ride up there and say Coppinger's Cove is awesome! Damn, it's a busy weekend, there are rides everywhere!

We were planning on it until we saw that the ATL 4Runners FB page is putting together a ride that same weekend at Chocco, so we are bailing because it's going to be a packed weekend there.

Yeah Coppingers is awesome, we were there once and my buddy broke is ITRE, so that was a whole experience haha. There is also a ride in Windrock with some SC guys

You can get rebuilt axles from Toyota now and they aren’t too expensive.

@JBTacoma knows the price quite well.

I'm getting some popping when in reverse, turning and going over a slight bump.

That's not too bad of a price, for some OEM refurbed CVs.

Yeah, a few of the Bama folks are going to Windrock too. Damn, I didn't know about the 4runner meet up there. The few times I've been, they have been packed.

Did both of those about a month ago, Coppinger Cove is a good ride, Prentice Cooper has a great view but mostly dirt roads.
I'm headed to Windrock that weekend. It must be a good weekend for riding there is a ride at just about every offroad park within 200 miles that weekend.
