well... where do i start. I kinda forgot to give yall an update, a very long time ago. So I spent a while figuring out and deciding how to go about a turbo. I went into the shop and started dissembling what I needed to. The first problem was that the turbo manifold did not fit. So i tried for eight hours trying to cut and weld. Nothing would budge. That is what quickly put me in my tracks. Simply couldve avoided every problem by having a CUSTOM BUILT manifold and not a cheap one off ebay. Then two months later, I built a VW Golf and turbo'd that and flipped it and made a few grand to put in my pocket. Lesson learned, expect for everything not to go as planned and have the right parts.

I’d be interested. Are you detailing the v8 swap anywhere?

Yeah I'll be doing a build thread as well as some YouTube videos. Gotta get the engine from my Friend first as well as some parts.

How much work did it take to get it to fit right? Ive heard they can require modification to get them to fit nicely

That's the one I used. I had to modify the downpipe alittle on one bolt hole.

I didn't have to modify anything on mine... But the quality control on some of these ching-Chong parts can be sketchy.

I'd honestly get the manifold and bring it to a machine shop with your turbski and have them face the gasket surfaces... And avoid having to replace gaskets by simply running some RTV

Oh yeah I forgot I split mine . It was probably me doing push-ups on top of the engine while I was working on it. Luckily it was easy to patch up.

Does anyone know if that OZBoost kit work on a 2016 3rd gen tacoma with the 2tr-fe? It's an automatic and 2wd?

Being that the cylinder head and exhaust hasn't changed, you shouldn't have an issue with the actual fitment. Tuning, however will be your main issue unless you go with a standalone. You'll also get a check engine light for the secondary air injection system, since you'll be removing it to install the turbo manifold.
