Thanks Scott - couldn't have gotten this far without your feedback and advice!
Still a bit to do but definitely coming along now. Rear panel/box is almost complete as well. Need to run the wiring along the frame, maybe tomorrow.

For anyone that has problems finding the correct bolt to mount your aux fuse plate to the existing holes and M8s don't work, I had to use M7. I'm sure I could find the OEM screws online but until then I had to use these.

Just re-wired my panel. Used Paranoid Fab's panel along with CaliRaised's relay holder. I did have m8 bolts holding my panel in but the relay holder came with some Allen bolts.

Got a few things installed. Helped clean up the wiring immensely! Now I just need a 4x4spod and I’ll be set.

Posting here: Finished my second auxiliary fuse/relay box today. Same type I used under the hood. Four fuses and two relays gives room for expansion. Under the bracket is my auxiliary battery for my ham radio and an always-on power port in my console.

This also drives my siren/flashers and the scene lights I installed on the roof rack. Today I completed the bracket and cable management.

Yeah, the M8 won't fit..I messed with it again last night. The M7 screws in but it's not snug. Weird.

looking for a sanity check here...

so I'm running 4 AWG welding cable (both + & -) from the battery down to and along the driver side frame rail to the rear of the truck. Brought both of them up through the taillight and into the bed to a blue sea panel in an enclosure.

I placed both positive and negative together in 3/4" split loom. Its not that real flimsy loom so I think it will be ok but...
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TDC4NZD

My OCD is working overtime since its so close to the fuel tank. Wondering if I should re-do the power run and come across the back of the engine bay to the passenger side and down along the passenger side frame rail. It'll add some feet to the run but its away from the fuel tank.

I do have a 100A breaker mounted to the Bussmann RTMR panel specifically for this power run to the bed. Of course this is completely separate from the 80A breaker for the RTMR.

I'm sure I'm over-thinking this power run/fuel tank thing but want to see what others have done/would do.

    Thanks!

Yessir... I'll take it apart Saturday night and send you some pics. I wonder if I used different holes? I mean, I think there were only two lol

I also got some more screws to try. We'll see.

No matter what size wire or cable you run it's still 12V which limits the possible length of an arc from a short and there are already other 12V wires along the frame rail so it's nothing new. I'd be more concerned about keeping the wires well away from the heat of the exhaust piping.

Not an expert and well it’s not my truck, but if you have gasoline vapors leaking from your tank you’ve got bigger problems than a potential short in your feed line. I wrap all my wires in split tube and often tape under tiewraps to limit vibration wear. That said I have a 7 wire bundle running over my gas tank as it’s a good way to cross away from the exhaust. I’m not worried on mine.

Yeah, came back on yesterday evening. Some work projects are delayed though and wifi was down until this morning.

So I ordered these from an unnamed conglomerate and they worked just fine. I realized that the problem was that the holes were all junky and so I didn't want to damage/strip anything. The home Depot M8 bolts would of worked just fine.

I’ve got a question about different aux boxes. What’s the pros to having a box w negative built in? Also I see these circuit blocks in some setups. Are these used as negative blocks or positivw or could they be used as either?

This is my current setup. Nothing fancy but hopefully gets the job done and serves its purpose. Got a 100amp fuse box with 30amp per circuit rating.(should I be using 30amp fuses per circuit or does this simply mean not to go over 30 per circuit) got a 100 amp Bussmann circuit breaker. I used 2 gauge awg to run from cb to battery. I used 4 gauge to run from cb to aux box and 4 gauge to ground. I’ve used double sided gorilla tape to mount it all with cable ties tied to each for extra support in case it comes undone. I’ve also got a terminal fuse 100amp ordered

I did the combine pos/neg to save space. In my original panel I had them separated but the panel was a lot bigger but it was over the fuse box and prevented access to said box.
